Requirements
  • Four years of direct Epic ECSA experience with progressive experience is required.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in information technology is required.
  • Understanding of operating system concepts such as user and group ownership, file permissions, and file system or volume group configuration.
  • Knowledge of PowerShell.
  • Ability to create, understand, and follow processes to ensure successful execution of critical maintenance procedures.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and take action.
  • Experience with analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving.
  • Experience with listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks under pressure.
  • Strong customer service orientation and experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA and other regulations affecting hospitals and clinics.
  • Strong time management and ability to prioritize requests.
  • Experience with Hyperspace WebNetworking, InterconnectSystem, PulseBusiness, Continuity, Access EPS, System Performance, Analytics, MyChart, Care Everywhere, EpicCare Link, Hyperspace, Client Capacity Management, scripting and programming, VMware, Citrix, Windows, and server management.
  • Current Epic ECSA certification is required.
  • One or more third-party certifications is required, including Microsoft, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator, Microsoft Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist, Citrix Certified Associate - Virtualization, Citrix Certified Associate - Networking, VMware Certified Professional - Data Center Virtualization, VMware Certified Professional - Desktop and Mobility, or CompTIA Server+.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and apply technical expertise on the Epic technical team supporting Epic technical infrastructure.
  • Support technologies, systems, networks, data architectures, capacity planning, system performance, and configuration management.
  • Develop, test, maintain, install, and deploy Epic technologies.
  • Establish, develop, and promote Epic architectures and hardware and software components.
  • Provide consulting services to Epic application development teams and customers regarding technologies and Epic technology standards.
