  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • The candidate must pass a thorough background check, including fingerprinting.
  • The candidate must pass a certified fingerprint technician course through the State of Maryland.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer or system navigation is required.
  • The candidate must be able to multitask efficiently and effectively.
  • The candidate must demonstrate strong attention to detail and be highly organized.
  • The candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and provide a high level of customer service while regularly interacting with customers.
  • The candidate must be willing to travel to AACPS, PGCPS, and off-site locations to perform fingerprinting services.
Responsibilities
  • Assist applicants by email, telephone, and in person.
  • Schedule appointments.
  • Process payments.
  • Quality-check applicant paperwork.
  • Fingerprint applicants; prior fingerprinting knowledge is not required, and the employee must complete fingerprint training.
  • Complete daily administrative functions in Microsoft Office to close out daily fingerprint tasks.
  • Assist other office areas with administrative functions.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and demonstrate ethics and confidentiality.
  • Demonstrate initiative and a daily commitment to customer service.
  • Cross-train and assist in other areas as needed.
Desired Qualifications
  • Bilingual Spanish is a plus but is not required.
  • Notary status is a plus but is not required.
