About the job
- High school education or equivalent is required.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication is required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly throughout the shift is required.
- Ability to stand for a significant portion of the shift is required.
- Willingness to work overtime and/or weekends as required by management or the production schedule is required.
- Ability to perform fundamental mathematical calculations with and without a calculator is required.
- Follow all safety guidelines and participate in workplace safety initiatives.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment when working with the chemicals and equipment required for weighing and batching.
- Ensure batches are produced in accordance with the production schedule.
- Weigh individual chemicals and ingredients to the specified weights, and document the correct information from the weighed ingredients in the batching documentation.
- Maintain complete documentation and follow good documentation practices.
- Track chemical inventory and return unused materials to the warehouse in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with the warehouse and report material discrepancies and shortages.
- Work with maintenance to identify malfunctioning or damaged equipment and have it repaired or removed from service.
- Work with Supervision and Research and Development as a resource on changes to batching procedures.
- Perform additional responsibilities assigned by supervision for the success of the department and company.
