ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to join our team in a data-centric role. As a Project Manager in Data, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and driving data-related projects from inception to completion. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, leverage your data expertise, and employ project management best practices to ensure the successful execution of data initiatives that drive business value and innovation.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
• Project Planning and Execution: Lead and manage data projects through their entire lifecycle, including project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure. Develop project plans, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure successful project delivery.
• Project Delivery: Support and facilitate the delivery and go-live of completed data products and solutions to relevant stakeholders, both internal and external.
• Stakeholder Communication: Establish and maintain strong communication with project stakeholders, including business leaders, data scientists, analysts, and engineers. Keep stakeholders informed of project progress, risks, and issues.
• Data Strategy Alignment: Collaborate with senior management to align data projects with the organization’s data strategy and business objectives. Ensure that data initiatives contribute to strategic goals and outcomes.
• Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges related to data projects and develop risk mitigation plans. Proactively address issues that may impact project timelines or deliverables.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and documentation related to data governance and compliance. Provide regular updates to stakeholders and leadership.
• Change Management: Facilitate change management processes to ensure smooth adoption of data-related solutions within the organization. Address resistance to change and promote data-driven culture.
YOU ARE SOMEONE WITH:
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Business Administration, Computer Science, Data Science) is required
• Proven experience as a Project Manager with a focus on data-related projects, preferably in a fast-paced environment
• Prior experience with / exposure to product workstreams and/or Product Management experience is a plus
• Strong understanding of data management, data governance, and data analytics concepts
• Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools, such as Agile, Scrum, or PMP
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Excellent problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks efficiently.
• Knowledge of data visualization tools, data warehousing, and data modeling is a plus.
• Familiarity with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and compliance requirements
• Project management certification (e.g., PMP, PMI-ACP) is a plus
