Requirements
  • Strong project management experience with a demonstrated track record managing United States Government contracts, including Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, or other federal agency contracts.
  • Experience managing programs within the commercial technology or semiconductor industry.
  • Demonstrated experience working with large, cross-functional programs in a matrixed environment and influencing, aligning, and driving execution across teams.
  • Strong working knowledge of United States Government contracting regulations, including the Federal Acquisition Regulation and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement, contract types such as Firm-Fixed-Price, Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee, and Other Transaction Authority agreements, and compliance requirements.
  • An active United States Government security clearance is required.
  • Product development management experience, ideally in semiconductors, hardware, or advanced technology products.
  • Experience with non-traditional defense contracting vehicles such as Other Transaction Authorities, Cooperative Research and Development Agreements, or Technology Investment Agreements.
  • Familiarity with government program management best practices and integrated program management methods.
  • Experience working with semiconductor fabrication, packaging, design, or related technologies.
  • United States citizenship is required.
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related technical field is required.
  • Project Management Professional certification is required.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary program manager and point of contact for strategic United States Government contracts, coordinating customer interaction, requirements, satisfaction, scope, schedule, risk, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate a portfolio of programs in parallel, balancing priorities and ensuring consistent execution and delivery across multiple efforts.
  • Partner with large, matrixed, cross-functional program teams to deliver contract milestones and technical objectives.
  • Build working relationships with functional leaders across engineering, product, operations, supply chain, legal, security, and finance to secure resources, align priorities, and resolve competing demands.
  • Establish program governance, cadence, and decision-making forums that bring stakeholders together and create clear accountability in a matrixed environment.
  • Coordinate government customer relationships, including regular reporting, technical reviews, and contract negotiations and modifications.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable government contracting regulations, security requirements, and internal company policies.
  • Develop and maintain detailed program plans, integrated master schedules, and risk registers, and drive transparent status communication to leadership and the customer.
  • Partner with engineering and product development teams to align government program requirements with the commercial semiconductor technology roadmap.
  • Work with stakeholders to identify, mitigate, and escalate risks and issues across organizational boundaries, and drive corrective actions and continuous improvement.
  • Support business development efforts, including proposal development, capture strategy, and identification of follow-on opportunities.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and partner relationships as required by the programs.

AMD data center segment to surpass 70% of revenue in 2027, up from 58% last quarter

AMD's data centre segment is on track to surpass 70% of the company's total revenue by 2027, driven by a substantial growth gap between business units.
