Requirements

Responsibilities
  • Lead the full P&L for the Custom Pump business, including orders, revenue, profitability, backlog quality, and cash flow.
  • Drive annual operating plans, strategic planning processes, and business performance rhythms.
  • Provide structured updates to senior leadership on financial performance, risks, opportunities, and mitigation actions.
  • Translate business strategy into actionable priorities, performance metrics, and execution plans.
  • Define and execute the global strategy for the Custom Pump business, including market prioritization, growth initiatives, and capability development.
  • Lead global business reviews and align the business with enterprise and regional strategies.
  • Partner with global teams, including India, to strengthen growth, cost competitiveness, and execution capability.
  • Support key pursuits and enable cross-regional collaboration to capture opportunistic growth.
  • Lead commercial strategy across pipeline development, opportunity prioritization, pricing discipline, and order conversion.
  • Engage directly with key customers, partners, and channels to strengthen market position and accelerate growth.
  • Support the pursuit and closure of large, complex, project-based opportunities.
  • Ensure disciplined execution across customer orders, including forecasting accuracy, risk management, and on-time delivery.
  • Drive project governance through regular reviews aligning timelines, budgets, procurement plans, and operational readiness, while identifying and resolving risks early.
  • Partner across commercial, engineering, and operations teams to deliver customer outcomes.
  • Continuously improve execution discipline, backlog conversion, and customer communication.
  • Guide product and application strategy, including portfolio direction, lifecycle management, and solution positioning.
  • Support new product introduction and application-specific solution development aligned with market and customer needs.
  • Integrate customer and market insights into product and business decisions.
  • Partner with operations and supply chain teams to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance.
  • Build capabilities for assembly, testing, and delivery of Custom Pump solutions.
  • Help optimize a global supply chain supporting growth and margin expansion.
  • Leverage global manufacturing capabilities, including India, to improve global project execution and competitiveness.
  • Support the continued development of Pewaukee as a center of excellence for Flygt and BABA submersible pump assembly and testing.
  • Champion safety, compliance, accountability, and operational excellence.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance productivity, quality, and delivery performance.
  • Promote adoption of digital and artificial-intelligence-enabled tools to improve decision-making and execution efficiency.

Xylem stock jumps 4.4% on raised full-year earnings guidance despite revenue miss

Xylem shares jumped 4.4% in morning trading after the water technology company reported second-quarter results that beat profit estimates and raised its full-year earnings forecast. The company posted adjusted earnings of $1.46 per share, exceeding the analyst consensus of $1.34 by 9.2%. However, the quarter presented a mixed picture. Revenue of $2.34 billion met expectations, but adjusted EBITDA of $437 million missed estimates by 15.5%. Xylem also lowered its full-year revenue guidance to $9.2 billion at the midpoint. Despite these headwinds, investors focused on improved profitability. Operating margin increased to 16.7%, up from 13.3% in the same quarter last year. Reflecting this improvement, Xylem raised its full-year adjusted EPS guidance to a midpoint of $5.63.

Xylem raised its 2026 profit forecast on Tuesday after second-quarter results beat Wall Street estimates, driven by cost savings and price increases amid growing AI infrastructure demand.
