Requirements
- Ability to troubleshoot production issues and support manufacturing process changes.
- Ability to set up processes after tool changes and tune equipment and tooling.
- Ability to support process monitoring checks, scrap and defect reduction, and cost reduction initiatives.
- Ability to review mold and secondary fixture designs and make recommendations.
- Ability to support third-party registration to TS16949 standards and achieve PPAP and TS16949 project requirements.
- Ability to maintain technical logs, tool and equipment records, performance updates, and project status reports.
Responsibilities
- Support project launch strategy and participate as an active launch-team member.
- Assist production with troubleshooting and fill in for supervisors as needed.
- Assist engineering with implementing new or revised processes.
- Assist with process setup after tool changes and with process improvements.
- Support scrap and defect reduction activities.
- Participate in identifying open issues and task forces.
- Support and maintain project timelines.
- Provide on- and off-site support for pre-production builds requiring components or services from the manufacturing site.
- Work with the team to develop processes, tune equipment and tooling, and train technical and production personnel on processing standards.
- Assist engineering in minimizing startup costs.
- Review mold and secondary fixture designs, make recommendations, and assist with approval of TSA submissions for molds and secondary equipment as required.
- Develop workflows, effective layouts, and optimized processes.
- Perform process monitoring checks, including flash-thickness and black-box checks.
- Implement long-lead process improvements and cost reductions for assigned programs.
- Review projects with Engineering Manager support as required.
- Evaluate and implement process and product improvements.
- Achieve cost and timing goals and objectives.
- Achieve project expectations and requirements for all elements of PPAP and TS16949.
- Prepare weekly program status reports, including performance, open items, and corrective action plans.
- Maintain technical logs for assigned products and processes.
- Provide daily performance updates.
- Maintain records for primary tools, including molds, and selected secondary equipment.
