Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, with up to four years of additional qualifying work experience substitutable year for year for the required education.
  • One year of professional program, outreach, or event coordination experience.
  • Knowledge of outreach and marketing strategies.
  • Knowledge of clerical and administrative procedures and systems, including filing and record-keeping.
  • Skill in oral and written communication.
  • Skill in using Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize assignments.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, on a regular basis.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods, stand for event setup, registration, and supervision, and walk, bend, stoop, kneel, climb stairs, push, and reach with arms.
  • Ability to lift and carry items up to 25 pounds and arrange furniture for events.
  • Ability to travel to on- and off-campus event locations.
  • Must complete employment eligibility verification by presenting documents establishing identity and work authorization within the timeframe required by federal immigration law, and demonstrate renewed authorization where applicable.
Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute corporate student events, speaker series, and other events targeted to students for CPIC.
  • Support and steward corporate partnerships by preparing proposals and invoices for prospective and current partners, tracking CPIC member activities, and coordinating industry partner on-campus meetings.
  • Support funding efforts for student groups, faculty, and CPIC.
  • Prepare written briefings about prospective companies, CPIC year-end reports, and other CPIC-related reports and newsletters.
  • Source information and produce a student-facing weekly announcement of corporate and relevant department events for CPIC.
  • Produce a monthly newsletter for CPIC partners highlighting department events and news.
  • Contribute as needed to the successful completion of projects and events for the Corporate Partners in Computing program and other external relations activities.
  • Support team activities, including corporate-sponsored career and internship recruiting events, CPIC member services, research meetings with industry, and tasks in collaboration with senior administrators.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience using Google Workspace, Mailchimp, Canva, and similar design products.
  • Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, regulations, and laws.
  • Ability to independently manage competing priorities in a complex and dynamic environment.
