VikingCloud and Fiserv expand partnership to bring cyber risk defence to merchants

VikingCloud, a cybersecurity and compliance company, has signed a multi-year agreement with Fiserv, Inc. to bring its Cyber Risk Defense product to merchants across North America and EMEA. Fiserv will begin offering the service in early 2027. The tool monitors for threats such as phishing, ransomware, and business impersonation. It includes a Security Score, an A-to-F grade that combines VikingCloud's risk scoring with Mastercard's cyber risk intelligence. Every enrolled merchant gets built-in cyber insurance. "Business owners shouldn't have to become cybersecurity experts to protect what they've built," said Mark Brady, chief executive officer of VikingCloud. The company serves more than four million businesses worldwide. The product was named Best Security Compliance Solution at the 2026 teissAwards.

The company announced the launch on October 19, 2026. Commerce Hub combines payment optimisation, orchestration, and value-added services. It gives merchants access to local payment methods, acquiring, and settlement options, along with fraud protection and cross-border tools. It supports sectors from global marketplaces to grocery, petroleum, and restaurants, and the source says its volume is growing more than 100% year on year. Fiserv 'reset' bolsters case, litigants say.

Fiserv 'reset' bolsters case, litigants say. A legal battle over Fiserv's merchant fee practices highlights a growing industry shift toward transparent payment processing and billing. Curated by Financing Your Way from original reporting by Payments Dive. Summary is AI-assisted and editorially reviewed - see its editorial standards. This legal development highlights ongoing scrutiny into how major payment processors like Fiserv manage their merchant relationships and fee structures. Shareholders are suing Fiserv, alleging the company misled them about its reliance on excessive merchant fees to drive growth. The lawsuit claims that as Fiserv began a 'reset' to adjust these practices, it signaled that previous revenue growth was built on unsustainable or opaque billing tactics. For retailers and operators, this situation is a reminder of the shifting power dynamics between merchants and processors. It highlights a growing industry-wide push for transparency in how processing fees are assessed and reported. For your business, this case suggests that the days of hidden 'junk fees' in payment processing may be numbered. As processors face pressure from both regulators and their own investors to be more transparent, merchants should expect more clarity in their monthly statements. However, it also means your provider might be undergoing internal shifts that could lead to changes in contract terms or service levels. Use this news as a prompt to audit your current processing statements. Ensure you aren't being charged for services you didn't authorize or through fee structures that are currently under legal fire. Staying informed about the stability and ethics of your processing partner is essential for long-term financial planning. Who else is covering this

Ohio bank joins credit unions suing Fiserv over security.

Ohio bank joins credit unions suing Fiserv over security. A growing legal battle between banks and payment giant Fiserv highlights critical liability risks in consumer data security. Curated by Financing Your Way from original reporting by American Banker - Top News. Summary is AI-assisted and editorially reviewed - see its editorial standards. This news highlights a growing legal battle over how financial data is protected during transactions. Antwerp Exchange Bank has joined several credit unions in a lawsuit against Fiserv, a major payment processor. The core of the dispute is about who is responsible when security breaches occur. The bank argues that Fiserv's systems left them vulnerable to unauthorized access. Fiserv, on the other hand, claims that the individual financial institutions are responsible for choosing and managing their own security settings. For retailers and operators, this is a reminder that the technology you use to process customer financing isn't a 'set it and forget it' tool. If you offer financing at the point of sale, your customer data passes through these third-party processors. When these systems fail, the resulting legal and financial fallout can trickle down to the merchant level. This case suggests that the industry is moving toward a stricter debate over liability. It emphasizes that service providers might not always be the ones footing the bill for security lapses. You should review your service level agreements (SLAs) with your financing partners to see who is on the hook if a data breach occurs during the application or payment process. NovelVox achieves Five9 Select ISV Partner status to accelerate CX transformation in banking, credit unions, and healthcare.

NovelVox achieves Five9 Select ISV Partner status to accelerate CX transformation in banking, credit unions, and healthcare. Oct 07, 2026, 09:00 ET Industry-ready integrations with Jack Henry, Fiserv, FIS, Corelation KeyStone, Oracle Health, and other core platforms help Five9 customers connect agent and AI-powered customer experiences with critical systems of record ROSWELL, Ga., Oct. 7, 2026 /PRNewswire/ - NovelVox, the execution layer for AI and unified agent experiences in regulated industries, today announced that it has achieved Select ISV Partner status with Five9 (NASDAQ: FIVN), provider of the Intelligent CX Platform. The elevated designation builds on NovelVox's existing Accreditation as a Five9 ISV partner and establishes a formal reseller relationship between the two companies, enabling a direct offer of NovelVox's Agent Accelerator solutions for banking, credit unions, and healthcare verticals, along with its Contact Center Integration Platform (CCIP), to joint customers. The milestone gives Five9 customers a streamlined, validated path to connect the Five9 Intelligent CX Platform with the core systems and workflows that power their industry operations. For Five9 customers, NovelVox brings ready integrations with platforms, including Jack Henry, Fiserv, FIS, Corelation KeyStone, and Oracle Health. These integrations make it easier to connect the contact center with systems of record and accelerate the deployment of industry-specific customer service, sales, and self-service workflows. For agents, NovelVox Agent Accelerator connects the Five9 experience directly into core systems of record, bringing customer, member, patient, and interaction context into a single view. Instead of switching between multiple applications to find information or complete routine actions, agents can execute workflows directly from a single view, improving productivity and creating more seamless customer interactions. NovelVox CCIP extends that same connectivity beyond the agent desktop into IVR, AI, and self-service experiences. Rather than simply answering questions, organizations can enable governed actions such as retrieving information, validating customer details, supporting transactions, and completing service workflows. The result is greater continuity across the customer journey. When an interaction moves from self-service to a live agent, the captured context moves with it, so customers don't repeat themselves and agents start with a clearer picture of what's already happened. "The next phase of customer experience is not simply about adding AI to the contact center - it is about connecting both AI and human interactions with the systems where customer work actually gets done," said Amit Gandhi, CEO of NovelVox. "Together, Five9 and NovelVox can help banking, credit union, and healthcare organizations bring that execution layer into their customer journeys. With industry-ready integrations and unified workflows, organizations can move faster while delivering more connected experiences across both agents and self-service." "Five9 gives banking, credit union, and healthcare organizations an AI-powered platform built for the contact center, and NovelVox brings the industry-ready integrations that connect it to the core systems where customer work actually happens," said Meg Higgins, SVP of Business Development at Five9. "That combination is especially powerful for regulated industries, where NovelVox's integrations with core banking and healthcare systems help agents resolve requests faster, reduce compliance risk, and give customers a more connected experience across both live and self-service channels." About NovelVox NovelVox is the execution layer for AI and unified agent experiences, helping enterprises connect customer interactions with the systems, workflows, and actions required to complete them. With more than 17 years of experience, 250+ customers, and 1,000+ installations, NovelVox supports organizations across healthcare, financial services, insurance, automotive, and other workflow-intensive industries through solutions designed to improve agent productivity, enable governed AI execution, and deliver connected customer experiences.
