Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of 8–10 years of progressive accounting experience, including substantial responsibility for fixed asset accounting within a large multinational organization, is required.
  • Demonstrated expertise in United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, particularly fixed assets, capital projects, impairments, and internal controls, is required.
  • Proven leadership experience managing accounting teams, including offshore or shared service organizations, is required.
  • Advanced Excel and financial systems proficiency is required.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills are required.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the global fixed asset accounting function, ensuring accurate and timely accounting for property, plant and equipment, construction-in-progress, capital projects, impairments, retirements, and asset transfers.
  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities related to fixed assets, including depreciation, reconciliations, analytics, and financial reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and company accounting policies relating to capitalization, depreciation, impairment, and asset disposals.
  • Review and analyze fixed asset balances, depreciation trends, capital spending activity, and key performance indicators.
  • Partner with FP&A, manufacturing finance, and operational stakeholders to provide insights into capital investments and asset utilization.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for fixed asset accounting matters, including capitalization policies, impairment analyses, asset retirement activities, and sale-leasebacks.
  • Evaluate and implement the accounting implications of new accounting standards and business transactions impacting fixed assets.
  • Maintain and enhance accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to support a strong Sarbanes-Oxley-compliant control environment.
  • Partner with internal and external auditors to support quarterly reviews, annual audits, and control testing activities.
  • Lead, develop, and mentor a team of fixed asset professionals located in Carmona, Philippines.
  • Drive operational excellence through standardization, artificial intelligence-enabled automation, workflow optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee global asset lifecycle processes, including project capitalization, asset transfers, retirements, physical inventories, and exception monitoring.
  • Collaborate with finance and information technology teams to optimize system functionality and strengthen reporting capabilities.
  • Support strategic initiatives, enterprise resource planning enhancements, and process transformation projects.
  • Seek opportunities to embed artificial intelligence into day-to-day processes and build artificial intelligence fluency across the fixed asset organization.
  • Act as a key stakeholder in Oracle Fusion Fixed Assets, Projects, and General Ledger processes.
  • Partner with Finance Systems and information technology teams on system implementations, upgrades, and process improvements.
Desired Qualifications
  • Certified Public Accountant designation is strongly preferred.
  • Experience working in a publicly traded company environment is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Oracle Fusion Fixed Assets and Projects is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Oracle Fusion is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in semiconductor, manufacturing, industrial, or another asset-intensive industry is preferred.
  • Experience managing large global capital expenditure portfolios is preferred.
  • Experience leading process transformation, artificial intelligence-enabled automation, and shared service operating model improvements is preferred.
  • A track record of developing high-performing teams and driving continuous improvement initiatives is preferred.

Onsemi to report earnings Monday with expected 8.2% revenue growth

Onsemi will report earnings on Monday after the bell. The analog chipmaker beat revenue expectations last quarter with $1.51 billion, up 4.7% year on year. Analysts expect this quarter's revenue to grow 8.2% year on year, reversing the 15.4% decrease from the same quarter last year. Analysts have largely reconfirmed their estimates over the past 30 days. Peers have shown mixed results. Monolithic Power Systems reported 47.6% revenue growth, beating expectations by 8.6%, whilst Impinj's revenues rose 10.7%, topping estimates by 3.5%. Onsemi shares are down 14.2% over the past month, trading at $81.34 against an average analyst price target of $113.12.
