  • Expertise in one or more areas of Film/Television production, including on-set sound, lighting, grip, dolly grip, cinematography, make-up for camera, wardrobe, general below-the-line crafts, video production, digital editing, volumetric LED, directing for film/television, acting for film/television, film studies, or other Film/Television fields.
  • For certain classes, on-set safety training and/or OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is required.
  • A Master of Arts degree in Film or a related field, or a Bachelor of Arts degree in Film or a related field plus five years of professional experience in Film and/or Television production, is required.
Responsibilities
  • Attend Film and Digital Arts Department faculty meetings.
  • Provide effective instruction in the assigned discipline so that students' educational needs are met and specified learning objectives are achieved.
  • Teach assigned courses on campus, off campus, or online, during the day or evening, following official syllabi and using approved textbooks and other learning materials.
  • Meet all classes regularly and on time as scheduled and for their full duration.
  • Establish learning objectives and outcomes for assigned courses.
  • Evaluate student performance against learning objectives and assign grades.
  • Arrange appointments with students as needed.
  • Evaluate course content, student needs, and instructional methods and make recommendations for program improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other required information.
  • Arrange with the department chair or associate dean for class coverage when absent.
  • Meet all deadlines for submitting grades and other required student information.
  • Teach assigned courses under general supervision and in accordance with established syllabi and departmental practices.
  • Maintain office hours and accessibility to students and advise students.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.
