Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience in production planning, materials planning, master scheduling, or supply chain systems in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience through at least one enterprise resource planning or material requirements planning implementation, migration, or major reconfiguration in a role that fundamentally shaped planning processes.
  • Demonstrated ownership of a master production schedule or a significant planning segment.
  • Deep material requirements planning fluency, including calculating purchasing needs against existing inventory, understanding order policies and planning settings, and identifying downstream effects of incorrect settings.
  • Working knowledge of bills of materials and how engineering changes flow through them.
  • Ability to investigate discrepancies through their root causes with precision and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate directly, maintain a position with engineers, and adapt when plans change.
  • Based in El Segundo, California and able to work on-site five days per week.
  • Ability to travel up to 15% to company factories.
  • Willingness to work extended hours as needed to support production.
  • Must be a U.S. person under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations, meaning a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or protected person.
Responsibilities
  • Own the planning requirements for the custom material requirements planning system, including demand calculations against inventory and open orders, bill-of-materials and revision effectivity handling, lead times, order policies, exception logic, and release of requests for purchase orders.
  • Work with the engineering team through system design, build, and release, and develop planning logic that reflects real production conditions.
  • Test new functionality against real builds and data, define acceptance criteria, and identify failure cases before production release.
  • Define planning processes, standards, and documentation as the company expands to additional factories.
  • Own the master production schedule for El Segundo, including build sequence, quantities, and dates based on customer commitments and factory capacity.
  • Review material requirements planning output after each automated run and release requests for purchase orders with sufficient lead time for buyers to act.
  • Adjust order timing as priorities change and escalate when the schedule is not achievable.
  • Own the lead times, order policies, safety stock, lot sizes, yields, and part statuses used by material requirements planning.
  • Create, maintain, and audit bills of materials so they match shop-floor builds and purchasing requirements, and drive engineering changes through the system as revisions change.
  • Reconcile inventory records with cycle counts, work in process, receipts, and material review board records.
  • Reduce exceptions and manual overrides by correcting root causes in the data or process.
  • Release requests for purchase orders early enough for buyers to prioritize them using the part, date, build, and available slack.
  • Work with production, manufacturing engineering, and program teams on build feasibility, new part introduction, and revision changes.
  • Identify shortages, long-lead exposure, and schedule risk early, specifying affected parts, dates, and impact.
  • Set standards for subsequent planners through written processes and train other planners.
Desired Qualifications
  • Aerospace, defense, or precision manufacturing experience.
  • Experience writing planning-software requirements with an engineering team.
  • Experience planning across multiple sites or factories in a multi-entity organization.
  • Familiarity with configuration control, effectivity dates, and engineering change orders.
  • Experience with SQL, Power BI, or capacity planning.

What believers are saying

  • Amca raised $300 million in May 2026 at a $1 billion valuation.
  • The company keeps acquiring suppliers, including BC Systems, Electrocube, Cal-Draulics, and Payne Magnetics.
  • Its F-35 deployment and 67% faster deliveries prove demand for faster qualification now.

What critics are saying

  • Executing six factory integrations after the May 2026 Series B strains quality and uptime.
  • Customer concentration on primes and classified programs makes one program loss immediately painful.
  • If RAPID fails AS9100, qualification, or defense delivery promises, the thesis collapses.

What makes AMCA unique

  • RAPID compresses component timelines 67% and spans design, qualification, and manufacturing.
  • Amca now runs six factories and 123,000 square feet across California, Iowa, and New York.
  • It sells into Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, Airbus, Honeywell, and Raytheon.
