Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA designation preferred
  • 5 years of progressive experience in revenue accounting, with a strong focus on ASC 606
  • Experience with external audits, experience writing ASC 606 memo plus
  • Experience with NetSuite a must
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities
  • Manage the end-to-end revenue recognition process in accordance with ASC 606 for 2 entities
  • Prepare and review journal entries related to revenue, deferred revenue, accounts receivable and bad debt
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements
  • Assist with sales and use tax compliance and support implementation initiatives
  • Partner with Revenue Operations, Sales, and Client Success teams to address billing inquiries and help reduce client credit memos issued
  • Monitor customer aging balances and manage the collection efforts on delinquent accounts
  • DSO optimization through automated dunning, conversion of check to ACH where possible and resolving client issues promptly
  • Participate in the external audit process, including preparation of supporting documentation, footnotes, and revenue-related disclosures
  • Produce accurate and timely revenue reports for management review
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within your processes
  • Support broader accounting functions and special projects as needed
