Human Resources Coordinator
About the job
- An Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- One to three years of experience in an HR administrative or support role.
- Knowledge of California and federal employment laws.
- Knowledge of basic human resources functions and employment practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain discretion when handling confidential information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- At least 18 years old.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Ability to pass a background and reference check.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Support employee onboarding and offboarding, including new-hire paperwork, background checks, and data entry.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in HRIS.
- Assist with employee inquiries about benefits, employment and wage references, policies, and other matters.
- Prepare and process employment-related documentation.
- Assist with HR reporting, audits, and compliance documentation.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Experience and familiarity with HRIS systems such as Paycom, ADP, Paylocity, or similar systems.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
- A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
