Requirements
  • Must have experience as an IT System Administrator for discovery/eDiscovery tools with knowledge of Electronic Discovery Reference Model and legal technology experience
  • Ability to install, operate, and manage Microsoft Windows Server 2019/2022 and Microsoft SQL Server 2019/2022
  • Experience operating and managing cloud technologies, including Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, VMware, Azure Functions, and Azure API Gateways and/or AWS EC2 servers, AWS Lambda and AWS API Gateways
  • Ability to operate and manage relational databases such as MySQL and/or SQL Server 2012 or higher
  • Experience with electronic discovery applications and related tools; ability to implement and support e-discovery tools such as Relativity, Veritas eDiscovery Platform, or other cloud-hosted review platforms
  • Ability to reverse engineer and document legacy application architectures and translate business requirements into technical requirements
  • Ability to analyze capabilities, interview stakeholders, and translate business requirements into technical requirements
  • Ability to support discovery application integration and migration activities
  • Ability to develop training for end-users and provide general support and subject matter expertise on electronic discovery tools
  • Ability to maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies for systems and data
  • Ability to monitor application performance for bottlenecks and coordinate with vendors/developers to implement fixes
  • Ability to liaise with vendors on behalf of organization to address product issues
  • Ability to assist in technical architecture design discussions
  • Ability to contribute to Knowledge Management databases by creating and improving technical knowledge articles

Responsibilities
  • Ensure the day-to-day availability of electronic discovery applications and related tools
  • Administer and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure; install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools
  • Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks; identify possible solutions and work with vendors and developers to implement fixes
  • Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies for systems and data
  • Assist technical architecture design discussions
  • Liaise with vendors on behalf of the organization to address product issues
  • Develop and provide training for end-users
  • Provide general support, subject matter expertise and advice on the use of electronic discovery tools and applications
  • Reverse engineer and document the as-is architecture of existing legacy applications or systems
  • Analyze capabilities, interview and collect business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
  • Support the discovery application integration/migration activities
  • Contribute to Knowledge Management databases by creating and improving technical knowledge articles to assist in future resolution of issues
  • Have legal technology experience and knowledge of the EDRM
  • Assist in the implementation of e-discovery tools such as Relativity, Veritas eDiscovery Platform, or other cloud-hosted review platform applications
  • Have the skills, knowledge and abilities to support backend infrastructure, data migrations, application installation, management and configuration
  • Have the ability to install, operate, and manage Microsoft server 2019/2022 and Microsoft SQL Server 2019/2022
