RNR Tire Express has signed an agreement to open a new location in Jamestown, New York, extending the tire and custom-wheel retailer's presence in the state. The store is expected to open in early 2027 and will be owned and operated by Jeff Smith, Matt Radecki, Chris Posey and Dave Parker. The agreement follows recent RNR expansion into Canada, Boston and Huntsville, Alabama, bringing the brand's network to more than 215 locations across North America. The four franchise partners have known one another since working together at House of Television in the early 2000s. Their careers later took them into the rent-to-own and tire industries. Smith and Radecki co-owned Hometown Rent-to-Own, while Posey and Parker developed experience in operations and training. After reconnecting in 2021, the group began exploring opportunities to build on its shared business background. For Smith, the Jamestown location represents an investment in the community where the partners have longstanding ties. He said the group was drawn to RNR's business model and the support provided by its leadership. The company's lease-to-own payment options for tires and custom wheels are central to its retail approach, giving customers an alternative to paying the full cost upfront. RNR Chief Executive Adam Sutton welcomed the group, highlighting Smith's leadership and commitment to employees, customers and the surrounding community. The company said the partners are also considering further expansion in Western New York after the initial store opens. Their combined experience gives the group a foundation for the new venture, although the success of future locations will depend on market demand and execution. As franchisors enter new markets, finding qualified operators and keeping franchise development organized can become increasingly important. RNR Tire Express National Serve Day 2026: A franchise culture built on community.

RNR Tire Express National Serve Day 2026: A franchise culture built on community. RNR Tire Express puts its Value DRiVEN culture into action through its annual National Serve Day, supporting women and families in Dade City, Florida. At RNR Tire Express, being part of a franchise system means more than operating a successful tire and wheel business. It means joining a people-first organization committed to making a positive impact on the communities it serves. On October 11, 2026, RNR Tire Express team members came together for the brand's annual National RNR Serve Day, partnering with Declare NoMore in Dade City, Florida, to support vulnerable women and families. The event was especially meaningful as RNR celebrates 2026 as its Year of Community, reinforcing one of the three core commitments behind its Value DRiVEN culture: Culture, Customers, and Community. National RNR Serve Day 2026: supporting women and families in Florida. This year's corporate Serve Day brought RNR team members together to support Declare NoMore, an organization that provides resources and care for vulnerable women, including single mothers who have experienced human trafficking, domestic violence, and other traumatic life events. The volunteer efforts focused on Declare NoMore's Resource Hub in Dade City, Florida, a space designed to provide opportunities for women and their children to receive support, build connections, and find community. Throughout the day, RNR volunteers helped prepare and beautify the property through a variety of hands-on projects, including: * Outdoor improvements: Spreading mulch, planting flowers and trees, and maintaining garden beds. * Indoor organization: Cleaning and organizing the education room, kitchen, bathrooms, and children's playroom. * Community gathering spaces: Preparing an area to host a Thanksgiving dinner for the families served by the organization. These efforts helped create a more welcoming environment for the mothers and children who rely on the Resource Hub. What makes RNR Tire Express a people-first franchise? Community involvement isn't simply an annual initiative at RNR Tire Express. It's part of the franchise's identity and how the organization approaches relationships with employees, customers, franchisees, and the communities they serve. RNR's Value DRiVEN culture is centered on three core commitments: Culture: Building a supportive, people-first environment where team members and franchisees are encouraged to grow, collaborate, and succeed. Customers: Serving people with care, respect, and flexible, affordable payment options that make essential tire and wheel products more accessible. Community: Creating meaningful connections and giving back to the people and neighborhoods that support each RNR location. Together, these values reflect RNR's vision: Changed Lives, Changing Lives. National Serve Day is one example of how RNR puts these commitments into practice, bringing people together around a shared purpose that extends beyond day-to-day business operations. Why community involvement matters in franchise ownership. For entrepreneurs evaluating automotive franchise opportunities, understanding a brand's culture is just as important as reviewing its business model, training programs, and growth potential. A community-focused franchise provides opportunities for owners to build relationships beyond their storefronts and become active participants in the neighborhoods where they operate. At RNR Tire Express, local ownership is supported by a national franchise system that prioritizes relationships and community engagement. Through initiatives such as National Serve Day, charitable giveaways, and local outreach programs, RNR demonstrates how a growing franchise organization can maintain a strong commitment to serving others. For prospective franchisees, that means the opportunity to join a business built around more than transactions. It's an opportunity to serve customers, develop teams, and contribute to the communities they call home. A proven tire franchise model backed by strong values. RNR Tire Express combines its people-first culture with an established automotive franchise business model designed for long-term growth. Founded in 2000, RNR has grown to more than 200 locations, offering quality tires, custom wheels, and related services through flexible lease-purchase payment options. The franchise opportunity brings together several important advantages: * An essential-service industry: Tire replacement and maintenance are ongoing needs for vehicle owners. * A differentiated business model: Flexible payment options help make essential tire and wheel products accessible to a broader customer base. * Comprehensive franchise support: Training, site selection assistance, operational guidance, and marketing resources help franchisees establish and grow their businesses. * Multi-unit growth opportunities: An established franchise system designed to support owners interested in expanding their portfolios. * A Value DRiVEN culture: A commitment to people, relationships, and community involvement throughout the organization. Together, these elements help differentiate RNR Tire Express from traditional tire retailers and other automotive franchise opportunities. Join a Franchise That's DRiVEN by More Than Business National RNR Serve Day 2026 was a reminder that meaningful impact often begins with people coming together to serve a shared purpose. From supporting families in Dade City to giving back in communities across the country, RNR Tire Express continues to demonstrate what it means to put people first. For entrepreneurs seeking a franchise opportunity that combines an essential-service business model, comprehensive support, and a culture rooted in community, RNR offers an opportunity to build something meaningful. Built for Growth. DRiVEN by Value. Powered by People. Interested in learning more about becoming an RNR Tire Express franchisee?

2026 Heritage Award: pete Shau.

2026 Heritage Award: pete Shau. Pete Shau has spent more than 20 years building a career in rent-to-own. In recent years, he has also made it his mission to make sure the people who built the industry, and those carrying it forward today, have a place to tell their stories. APRO recognized Shau, Franchise Training Specialist for RNR Tire Express and host of The RTO Show Podcast, with the 2026 Heritage Award during the APRO Awards Luncheon & Business Meeting at RTO World 2026 in West Palm Beach, Florida. The APRO Heritage Award recognizes the unsung heroes of rent-to-own, individuals who operate with consistent excellence while remaining ready to support their colleagues, APRO, and the industry. Shau's own career began where many rent-to-own careers do: on a delivery truck and in account management. "I literally started in a truck and on account management, learning this business from the ground up," Shau said in his acceptance remarks. Over the next two decades, he built a career working with Renter's Choice, Rent-A-Center, Rent King, Buddy's Home Furnishings, and now RNR Tire Express. Along the way, Shau said he was continually struck by the people behind the business. "What I found was this industry is full of people with genuine heart, people who show up every day for the customers that are counting on them," said Shau. "That's never, ever, ever stopped inspiring me." That inspiration eventually led him to create The RTO Show Podcast. Launched in August 2022, the podcast created a platform for conversations with people from across rent-to-own, including delivery professionals, store operators, multi-unit leaders, vendors, and company owners. For Shau, the goal was to give the industry a voice and recognize the people whose work might otherwise go unnoticed. "I wanted to give the industry a voice to celebrate the dealers, leaders, advocates, and the unsung heroes who keep rent-to-own moving forward," Shau said. "Every episode is my way of saying, 'What you do matters, and your story deserves to be told.'" That role expanded as APRO celebrated its 45th anniversary. In partnership with APRO and wowbrands, Shau became the host of APRO's RTO Legends Take the Mic series, sitting down with longtime industry pioneers, founders, and advocates to preserve their memories and experiences. By the time he received the Heritage Award, Shau had captured the stories of 23 rent-to-own legends, helping preserve decades of industry history for future generations. His involvement with APRO has extended beyond the microphone. Shau has participated in the APRO Legislative Conference in Washington, D.C., since 2024, joining other rent-to-own professionals on Capitol Hill. He has also participated in the Florida Rental Dealer Association (FRDA) Legislative Day in Tallahassee. For the last three years at RTO World, Shau joined APRO CEO Charles Smitherman for live broadcasts of The RTO Show Podcast, bringing the conversations he started online directly to the industry's annual gathering. When announcing the 2026 Heritage Award, Shau was described as "the RTO Show Guy" and, with some affection, the industry's "lovable industry mascot." The recognition caught him off guard. "When I learned I had been selected, I was literally speechless," Shau said. "But to those of you who know me, that doesn't happen very often." For Shau, the significance of the award was rooted in the people who had received it before him and the industry whose stories he has spent years helping tell. "This award carries some real weight," he said. "The names it represents are some of the finest people the industry has ever produced, and to be counted among them is something that I will carry with me for the rest of my life." Shau also credited the people who have trusted him with their experiences and supported his work, including APRO and the colleagues who have helped make the podcast and historical interviews possible. "This award is not just an honor for me," said Shau. "It's a reflection of every person in this industry who has trusted me with their story, their time, and honestly, their encouragement." The 2026 APRO Heritage Award recognizes a career built in rent-to-own and a commitment to giving the people behind the industry a microphone, preserving their stories, and making sure their contributions are remembered.
