Everpure stock surges 40% in September on $7B-$7.3B FY28 revenue forecast and S&P 500 inclusion

Everpure stock surged more than 40% in September, making it the S&P 500's top performer for the month. The rally followed the company's investor day, where it forecast fiscal 2028 revenue of $7 billion to $7.3 billion, representing growth of up to 45%. The momentum built on strong second-quarter results showing 38% revenue growth to $1.2 billion. Everpure's inclusion in the S&P 500, effective 21 September, also boosted the stock. Several investment banks raised their price targets. Morgan Stanley increased its fiscal 2028 and 2029 earnings estimates by 15% and 30%, respectively. Citi raised its target to $160 from $130, whilst Bank of America lifted its target to $180 from $150. Moderna and Intel finished second and third amongst S&P 500 gainers, with gains of 37.2% and 34.3%, respectively.

Should investors seek the ai-driven rise of Everpure (P) stock? - september 24, 2026.

Should investors seek the ai-driven rise of Everpure (P) stock? - september 24, 2026. Key findings. * Stronger AI and Everpure's hyperscale prospects drove an 11% rise. * Preliminary forecasts for fiscal year 2028 indicate accelerating revenue and profit growth. * However, Everpure's high valuation may make chasing growth less attractive. Everpure (P - " EXCHANGE TRADING ") shares surged 11% on Thursday, ending their run as the S&P 500's top gainer after the data storage specialist delivered a much stronger long-term growth forecast at a 2026 financial analyst meeting. Everpure linked this opportunity to expanding access to AI and hyperscale infrastructure, highlighting four growth areas: Core and Core AI, Modern Data Software, Scale AI, and Hyperscale Solutions. Everpure shares are up nearly 90% year-to-date and have risen more than 270% over the past three years, significantly outperforming broader indices and many of Port-mone.tv Technology Services' competitors. Image source: Port-mone.tv Investment Research What does EverPur do? Formerly known as Pure Storage, Everpure provides enterprise storage and data management infrastructure designed to help companies securely store, access, protect, and manage massive amounts of information across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments. Its portfolio includes high-performance FlashArray and FlashBlade storage systems, as well as software and subscription services that automate data management. Everpure is also expanding beyond traditional enterprise storage to include AI-powered and hyperscale data centers, where rapidly growing data sets require faster, more scalable, and more energy-efficient infrastructure. This makes Everpure an increasingly important data infrastructure tool in the AI boom market, rather than just a traditional storage hardware company. Everpure's preliminary guidance for fiscal year 2028 is impressive. Notably, Thursday's rally was primarily driven by Everpure's preliminary fiscal 2028 guidance, which calls for revenue of $7 billion to $7.3 billion, representing year-over-year growth of 39% to 45%, and non-GAAP operating profit of $1.7 billion to $1.9 billion, representing growth of 80% to 100%. The company also reiterated its current fiscal 2027 revenue guidance of $5.03 billion to $5.07 billion, up 37% to 38% year-over-year, and non-GAAP operating income of $940 million to $960 million, up 48% to 51%. As shown below, Everpure's new forecast builds on an already impressive multi-year revenue growth trajectory. Image source: Port-mone.tv Investment Research Everpure's valuation is getting expensive. Despite Everpure's optimistic recommendations, the main argument against today's jump is the valuation assessment. Everpure shares currently trade at over 100 times forward earnings and 7 times forward sales. By comparison, the Port-mone.tv Technology Services Industry averages approximately 26 times forward earnings and 3 times forward sales, respectively. It's also worth noting that Everpure is starting to gain a noticeable advantage over storage competitors like NetApp (NTAP - " EXCHANGE TRADING "), Dell Technologies (DELL - " EXCHANGE TRADING "), and Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE - " EXCHANGE TRADING "). Everpure's stronger projected growth may justify the premium, but today's rally quickly eroded much of management's increasingly optimistic AI and hyper-scale outlook. Image source: Port-mone.tv Investment Research Result. Everpure's analyst call significantly strengthened its long-term growth story, especially given that fiscal 2028 revenue could exceed $7 billion and non-GAAP operating profit could double. However, after a double-digit one-day surge and with the stock significantly premium to its peers in terms of storage and infrastructure, investors may not need to chase this rally. Everpure's fundamentals are looking increasingly compelling, but a pullback or period of consolidation could be a more attractive entry point. Everpure stock currently lands at Rank #3 Hold, suggesting investors should remain patient after the stock's sharp rise. ad unit: 2 / 4

Everpure sees AI infrastructure strategy move beyond virtual machines.

Everpure sees AI infrastructure strategy move beyond virtual machines. AI infrastructure strategy is expanding beyond compute and storage specifications as artificial intelligence reshapes who manages enterprise applications and data. Infrastructure teams are increasingly being asked to support virtual machines, Kubernetes, graphics processing units and AI workloads together. That expansion is reshaping responsibilities traditionally divided among infrastructure, data science and DevOps teams. Platform decisions increasingly require a shared view of how workloads will be built, operated and scaled, according to Cody Hosterman (pictured), senior director of product management at Everpure Inc. "The conversations I've been having in our meeting room and at our booth and in the hallways have not once been about VMs. It's actually been talking about the datasets and the applications that are consuming them with people who are traditionally infrastructure administrators," he said. "So the conversation has fully changed." Hosterman spoke with theCUBE Research's Christophe Bertrand and co-host Alison Kosik at VMware Explore, during an exclusive broadcast on theCUBE, SiliconANGLE Media's livestreaming studio. They discussed hybrid infrastructure, Everpure's partnership with Broadcom Inc. and the importance of connecting AI investments to business objectives. (* Disclosure below.) AI infrastructure strategy starts with business outcomes. Everpure is aligning its data platform with VMware Cloud Foundation 9.1 to support virtual machines, Kubernetes and AI workloads. Customers are also using public clouds to test configurations before right-sizing infrastructure in their data centers, reflecting the broader need for data-ready AI infrastructure, according to Hosterman. "We're definitely seeing customers leveraging the resources in [Amazon Web Services Inc.] or [Microsoft Azure] to kind of figure some things out. But the motion that we've been seeing is, 'All right, now we've got a good idea. We know how we're going to build these out and how we're going to consume them,'" Hosterman said. "We can right-size this with best-of-breed infrastructure in the data center." Rapid market change can tempt companies to acquire servers and graphics processing units before defining their intended use. The costliest error is treating AI enablement as the objective, Hosterman explained. "The outcome shouldn't be, 'We should be ready to serve the world's largest AI infrastructure,'" he said. "It should be, 'No, this is where we want to get our business to. A tool to get us there is AI,' and then working backwards from that plan." Everpure beats Q2 estimates with $1.19B revenue, lifts full-year guidance to $5.05B

Everpure reported second quarter revenue of $1.19 billion, beating analyst estimates by 7.7% and representing 37.7% year-on-year growth. The data storage solutions provider also reported adjusted earnings per share of $0.70, exceeding expectations by 21%. The company raised its full-year revenue guidance to $5.05 billion at the midpoint, up 13.2% from the previous forecast of $4.46 billion. Next quarter's revenue guidance of $1.33 billion came in 16.8% above analyst expectations. CEO Charles Giancarlo attributed the strong performance to increased pricing, a shift towards higher performance products, and growing adoption of Storage-as-a-Service offerings. The company's Evergreen//One platform has surpassed a $1 billion annualised run rate. Despite the results, the market reacted negatively to the announcement. Operating margin improved to 5.3%, up from 0.6% in the same quarter last year.
