Responsibilities
  • Lead and execute the corporate business plan to drive market growth, profitability, and client satisfaction.
  • Build and manage a high-performing team of bankers, relationship managers, trust officers, wealth advisors, portfolio managers, and support staff.
  • Develop and implement local sales and marketing strategies to meet corporate goals.
  • Represent the bank at community events and with local organizations to enhance brand presence.
  • Own the market's customer acquisition and retention strategy, ensuring consistent and exceptional service.
  • Partner with product group associates to deliver integrated financial solutions.
  • Oversee lending and deposit production for yourself and your team.
  • Act as the key leader at client-facing functions and corporate initiatives within the market.

First Western reports Q2 2026 net income of $5.7M as net interest margin expands to 2.90%

First Western Financial reported second quarter 2026 net income available to common shareholders of $5.7 million, or $0.57 per diluted share. This compares to $6.2 million, or $0.63 per diluted share, in the first quarter of 2026, and $2.5 million, or $0.26 per diluted share, in the second quarter of 2025. Net interest income increased $0.9 million, or 4.3%, from $20.9 million in Q1 2026 to $21.8 million in Q2. The Denver-based company's net interest margin expanded 9 basis points from 2.81% to 2.90% quarter-over-quarter. Average noninterest-bearing deposits grew $17.8 million, or 5.1%, from $347.5 million in Q1 to $365.3 million in Q2.

First Western Trust has appointed Alison Timboe as Senior Vice President, Trust Officer in its Jackson Hole, Wyoming office. Timboe brings nearly two decades of experience in estate planning, fiduciary advisory and trust administration, most recently serving as Senior Trust Advisor at Wells Fargo Private Bank. In her new role, Timboe will strengthen First Western Trust's trust services in Wyoming whilst supporting clients across the firm's Western markets. She will partner with clients and advisors to develop customised trust strategies and help families leverage Wyoming trust situs advantages. First Western reports Q1 2026 net income of $6.2M, up 88% from previous quarter

First Western Financial reported net income available to common shareholders of $6.2 million, or $0.63 per diluted share, for the first quarter of 2026, up from $3.3 million, or $0.34 per share, in the fourth quarter of 2025. The Denver-based financial services holding company saw net interest margin increase 10 basis points to 2.81% from 2.71% in the previous quarter. Net interest income rose 1.5% to $20.9 million, whilst non-interest income increased 9.8% to $6.7 million. Total deposits grew $95 million, or 3.5%, to $2.84 billion during the quarter. Total loans held for investment increased 1.5% to $2.69 billion. Non-performing assets decreased to $16.3 million, or 0.50% of total assets, from $19.6 million in the previous quarter. Book value per common share rose 2.9% to $28.10.

First Western Trust names Jeff Miller as Scottsdale market president

First Western Trust has appointed Jeff Miller as Scottsdale Market President. Miller brings over 15 years of commercial and private banking experience, most recently serving in a senior leadership role at FirstBank, where he led commercial and consumer credit teams across the Phoenix metro area. A Scottsdale resident since 2010, Miller is deeply engaged in the community, serving as Chairman of the Board for the Scottsdale Police Foundation and Board Chair of the Scottsdale Public Art Advisory Board. He will focus on expanding First Western Trust's presence in Scottsdale by building relationships with business owners and high-net-worth individuals.
