  • A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
  • Travel may be required between offices.
  • Knowledge of office practices, technology applications, and patient insurance processes is required.
  • The role requires data-driven decision-making, organization, operational process knowledge, computer proficiency, financial acumen, patient advocacy, and the ability to influence treatment decisions.
  • The role requires self-motivation, reliability, independent and team-based work, effective multitasking, interpersonal communication, oral and written communication, confidentiality when handling patient records, and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
  • Model company culture, values, standards, and operational practices based on the We Believe Behavioral Framework.
  • Gain financial commitment from patients to begin dentist-diagnosed treatment.
  • Become proficient in the PDS system and related tools to help patients make treatment decisions.
  • Execute the Healthcare Coordinator handoff with each clinician for every examination patient.
  • Provide patients with choices among available financial options and explain options that fit their budgets.
  • Overcome common patient objections to starting treatment professionally.
  • Obtain insurance pre-authorizations when required before treatment completion.
  • Ensure offices follow the Comprehensive Care Model, including external referrals.
  • Participate in daily morning huddles, monthly team meetings, and other required meetings.
  • Understand business imperatives and how the role affects metrics and results.
  • Make decisions consistent with the PDS Brand framework and demonstrate stewardship of the brand.
  • Learn about the Mouth Body Connection and support clinical excellence through comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor in accordance with company policies.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable state, federal, and other regulations.
  • Perform other assigned duties and responsibilities.
Desired Qualifications
  • Prior coursework or on-the-job training in dentistry, insurance, or business.
