Physical Therapy Technician
About the job
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Must be comfortable using computer systems and software.
- Must be able to perform manual dexterity and general strength and endurance tasks, including routine lifting of 5–35 pounds, carrying 5–10 pounds, pushing 5–150 pounds, sustained gripping of 40–50 pounds, and guarding lift loads of 120–140 pounds.
- Assist providers during patient exercises and treatments.
- Guide patients and help ensure their visits are smooth and enjoyable.
- Assist the Front Office Coordinator with greeting patients, scheduling appointments, answering calls, and handling copays.
- Maintain communication between providers, patients, and front office staff.
- Help maintain a safe, warm, and friendly clinic atmosphere.
- Support teammates and contribute to solving challenges and meeting patients’ expectations.
- Prior experience in a physical therapy or healthcare setting is preferred but not required.
- Prior experience in healthcare or exercise science is preferred but not required.
