Requirements
  • At least 5 years of related field experience in the power industry, specifically steam or gas turbines.
  • Process knowledge in the power industry and detailed proficiency in quality systems, including familiarity with ISO requirements.
  • Knowledge of root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action.
  • Proficiency with current personal-computer technology and software for creating forms and documents.
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and contribute in a team environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Effective organizational and communication skills.
  • Customer-focused approach.
  • Ability to identify, analyze, and solve quality problems with practical solutions.
  • Ability to provide technical guidance on quality issues.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-process operations audits and quality system audits of the Repairs Division to verify that proper practices and verifications are being used.
  • Support customer audits as required.
  • Coordinate nonconformance and corrective action processes.
  • Collect, maintain, and analyze cost of quality and cost of earnings before interest and taxes data to drive continuous improvement and resolve quality problems.
  • Initiate quality alerts and technical bulletins where applicable.
  • Coordinate regular quality and management reviews of division performance against goals and objectives, and establish, implement, and track improvement priorities.
  • Prepare, develop, and maintain work instructions, procedures, data, and check sheets for the expanding business.
  • Monitor supplier quality performance and support qualification of new suppliers.
  • Work with key suppliers to improve their quality performance and audit new and existing suppliers where needed.
  • Maintain the Repair Services ISO 9001 quality certification by assuring compliance with applicable ISO 9001 requirements.
  • Track and calibrate Repair Services gauges, standards, and test equipment.
  • Establish and develop effective communication with Repair Services and company personnel, supervisors, managers, and customers where applicable.
  • Provide quality training to employees on their responsibilities in supporting the quality system and division business objectives.
