LexisNexis Risk Solutions Identity Proofing for MyChart successfully integrates with Epic to help hospitals strengthen patient portal security. Sep 15, 2026, 09:30 ET Identity Proofing for MyChart is now available in the Epic Toolbox Program as part of the Identity Verification for MyChart Category, offering Epic customers modular identity verification and authentication solutions to support secure digital access ATLANTA, Sept. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ - LexisNexis(R) Risk Solutions, a leading provider of data and analytics, announced today that Identity Proofing for MyChart from LexisNexis(R) Risk Solutions is now available in the Epic Toolbox Program as part of the Identity Verification for MyChart Category. The toolbox designation validates that the solution aligns with the Epic integration and functionality best practices. "Being in the Epic Toolbox Program validates that our solution seamlessly aligns with Epic technical blueprints, providing healthcare IT teams with a predictable, repeatable deployment process," said Brad Bauer, SVP and general manager, healthcare, LexisNexis Risk Solutions. "By removing implementation complexity, we enable health systems to quickly protect patient accounts with robust identity proofing that preserves intuitive user workflows." The integration gives U.S. hospitals and health systems using Epic electronic health record systems convenient access to a modular suite of identity verification and risk decisioning tools designed to help protect Epic MyChart accounts and secure patient data while reducing unnecessary friction for legitimate users. Epic customers can select and combine capabilities based on their desired patient experience, operational priorities and level of assurance associated with risk tolerance. With integration available through the Epic Connection Hub, no custom development is required. The launch comes as malicious bot attacks jumped 59% in 2025[1], emphasizing the need for healthcare organizations to secure digital access across patient portals, digital front doors and workforce systems without slowing down care. As patient portals increasingly support high-value interactions such as account creation, login, account recovery, medical record access, messaging, scheduling and payments, hospitals need identity strategies that go beyond passwords or single-point verification. Identity Proofing for MyChart provides access to solutions that use AI and machine learning to analyze patterns across billions of identity events beyond healthcare interactions, giving organizations broader intelligence to apply layered identity proofing within existing workflows. "The stakes for patient portal security have never been higher," said Bauer. "Hospitals can no longer rely on static identity checks when patient portals are becoming central to how people access care, manage records and make payments. Identity Proofing for MyChart gives healthcare organizations a stronger, more adaptive way to verify identity and recognize trusted users." Identity Proofing for MyChart helps organizations assess risk across the healthcare identity access lifecycle and apply the appropriate level of assurance for each interaction. The solution suite offers a range of verification capabilities including digital identity, email, phone association and biometrics intelligence that leverage AI and machine learning to keep up with the latest threats. The suite can support NIST IAL2-level assurance and help organizations move beyond point-in-time identity checks toward risk-based decisioning. "These capabilities help health systems strengthen trust in digital access while preserving the usability patients and workforces expect," said Bauer. "The configurability of the suite of solutions allows healthcare organizations to keep routine interactions relatively simple while managing higher-risk interactions with stronger verification to help defend against emerging threats like synthetic identity fraud, forged documents and deepfake-enabled impersonations." Home media coverage former LexisNexis sales Director Mahendra Chaturvedi joins Lexlegis.ai. Sep. 02, 2026 at 4:10 pm Mr. Mahendra Chaturvedi has been appointed Senior Vice President - Sales at the Mumbai-based legal AI company, after more than two decades across LexisNexis and Thomson Reuters. Legal artificial intelligence company Lexlegis.ai has appointed Mr. Mahendra Chaturvedi as Senior Vice President - Sales. Mr.Chaturvedi joins from LexisNexis, where he was Director - Sales from April 2018. He brings thirty years of experience in the Indian legal information and publishing sector. He began his career in the sector at LexisNexis in August 2003 as Regional Manager - Sales (India), a position he held until September 2006. He then spent over a decade at Thomson Reuters, joining as Assistant Sales Manager in November 2006 and progressing through the roles of National Sales Manager and Senior Sales Manager before being appointed Assistant Vice President - Sales in March 2013. Mr.Chaturvedi left Thomson Reuters in April 2017 for Newgen KnowledgeWorks, where he served as Assistant Vice President - Sales for a year, before returning to LexisNexis in April 2018. He has been based in the Delhi region through most of his career, and has worked across institution, channel and enterprise sales. In his new role, Mr. Chaturvedi will lead the company's sales function and customer engagement across segments including law firms, in-house legal teams, professional services firms and institutional users. He will also be responsible for building out the field sales organisation as the company expands its enterprise business. The appointment comes as Lexlegis.ai moves from a research platform towards a wider set of operational legal products. The company's platform is organised around three core modules. Ask answers legal questions from a curated library of Indian statutes, judgments and circulars, with responses linked back to their underlying sources. Interact works against uploaded case files, producing summaries, chronologies and clause comparisons. Draft produces first drafts of legal documents. In April 2026, the company introduced MIRA (Machine Intelligence and Reasoning Assistant), a configurable agent product that groups the platform's capabilities into defined skills which customers can assemble by function. MIRA is presently available in beta as a hosted service, with on-premise and desktop deployment options at the request stage. Lexlegis.ai's data lineage runs back to 1998, when the founding team launched a search engine covering income tax and allied tax decisions. Work on a large-scale judgment database began in 2004, and in 2014 the team developed the National Judicial Reference System for the Government of India. The Lexlegis.ai platform itself was launched in 2025, and the company has said it is extending coverage to United States case law. "Mahendra has spent his career close to the people who actually use legal information in this country. As we move from a research platform towards a broader legal operating layer, that perspective is what we need guiding the customer side of the business." - Saakar Yadav, Founder and Managing Director, Lexlegis.ai "The way legal work gets done in India is changing faster now than at any point in the last two decades. What persuaded me is that this is built on Indian law from the ground up rather than adapted to it, and that every answer can be traced to a source. I look forward to taking that to a wider set of institutions." - Mahendra Chaturvedi, Senior Vice President - Sales, Lexlegis.ai

Google adds legal AI tools to Gemini Enterprise. Google on Aug. 25 expanded Gemini Enterprise with legal-specific tools, adding connections to platforms from Thomson Reuters, Harvey, and LexisNexis as technology companies push deeper into AI for law firms. Alphabet launched Gemini Enterprise for business customers in October 2025 as a version of Gemini for businesses. Google said it includes enterprise data governance rules for handling customer inputs and outputs. The company also introduced tools for financial services and said more industry-specific products will follow, as demand from law firms using AI for legal work and business operations grows. The move comes as competition in legal AI intensifies. Thomson Reuters, which owns Reuters and the Westlaw legal research database, launched its proprietary large language model Thomson 1.0 on August 24. The American Bar Association also issued ethics guidance on lawyers' use of AI, including duties around competence, confidentiality, and review. Recent google developments.
