Requirements
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in domestic and/or international payment processing.
  • High attention to detail is essential to ensure payment accuracy and prompt delivery to the ultimate beneficiary.
  • Ability to analyse payment instructions for viability.
  • Ability to work within rules and guidelines.
  • Very strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in a payments function.
  • Experience in a reconciliation function.
  • Understanding of Know Your Customer and client onboarding.
  • Knowledge of the foreign exchange payments industry.
Responsibilities
  • Support multiple operations work streams, including posting incoming wires, processing outgoing wires, reconciliation, trade verification, and handling queries.
  • Process client instructions in real time, including approving payment information, creating or reviewing beneficiary details, and following up with clients or internal departments as required.
  • Create, review, and approve domestic and international payments.
  • Review and cancel, amend, or modify foreign exchange transactions as required.
  • Communicate with clients when clarification of beneficiary instructions or foreign exchange trades is required.
  • Reconcile bank accounts against the internal treasury management system.
  • Liaise with the Risk Team to ensure exposure is covered and margin calls are met.
  • Play a key role in projects and process improvement.
  • Complete ongoing training and development, including training sessions and CISI exams.
