Opportunity
As the Head of Applied Artificial Intelligence in a Sales AI company, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the execution and delivery of AI projects within our product roadmap. You will work closely with leadership to define the scope of work and drive successful execution. We are seeking a highly technical individual with a proven track record of delivering customer-facing AI functionality into production. The ideal candidate should possess extensive knowledge of AI and machine learning techniques including hands-on, practical experience in developing and implementing AI solutions, predictive analytics, recommendation systems and machine learning algorithms. Knowledge of AI applications in sales and customer relationship management is a plus.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead the execution and delivery of AI projects in alignment with our product roadmap, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful outcomes. Demonstrate a clear leadership brand and build followership across the business.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI research and applications and assess their potential application within our product offering.
- Design and build scalable AI systems on AWS, ensuring robustness, performance and reliability.
- Drive continuous improvement in AI processes, methodologies, and best practices to optimize efficiency and quality.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship across the engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
- Developing and implementing ML models and algorithms, with a focus on customer-centric functionality.
- Act as a subject matter expert on AI-related topics, effectively communicating complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
About You
- 10+ years of relevant experience with at least 3-5 years in an ML/AI leadership role.
- Master’s degree or Ph.D. in a relevant discipline is highly preferred.
- Proven record of successfully delivering customer-facing Applied AI functionality into production. Previous work experience within a startup environment is a plus.
- In-depth knowledge of AI and ML techniques, such as deep learning, NLP, large language models, and generative AI.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and address technical challenges effectively.
- Familiarity in setting up AI/ML systems in AWS and Databricks environments.
- Excellent communication, collaboration and planning skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
- A passion for staying updated on the latest advancements in ML and AI and a strong drive to innovate and deliver high-quality solutions.

Compensation
$200,000 - $250,000
