Experience designing and using web services application programming interfaces, including Representational State Transfer and Simple Object Access Protocol.
Experience with Linux system administration and application deployment and support.
Experience with Linux scripting and automation using Perl and Python.
Ability to communicate technology strategy and architecture approaches to developers and management.
A solid understanding of the information technology systems development process, including architecture, design and engineering, development, and operations.
Experience working within an Information Technology Infrastructure Library-based organization.
Technology leadership skills including coaching, mentoring, teaching, critical thinking, judgment, facilitation, and leading change.
Responsibilities
Develop software applications using Java, Python, and Ruby.
Administer Linux systems and support application deployment and operations.
Desired Qualifications
Database administration experience.
Experience creating reports and operational dashboards.
Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Puppet and Chef.
Familiarity with platform-as-a-service solutions and cloud-based application development and deployment.
Release management experience, especially in an operational setting.
Experience with automated deployment frameworks and continuous integration platforms.
Agile software development experience.
Prior operational responsibilities.
