Responsibilities
  • Set up patients in the exam room.
  • Perform and document vital signs, including manual blood pressure measurements.
  • Perform and document electrocardiograms.
  • Reconcile medications.
  • Document the reason for the visit and the patient's health care concerns.
  • Interview patients and discuss changes in their health since the last visit.
  • Assist the provider with minor surgical procedures.
  • Prepare appropriate medications for injections.
  • Handle phone messages and faxes.
  • Perform medical reception responsibilities as needed.
