Regions' Hurricane Isaias relief offers goodwill, but revenue stuck at $1.91B tests the investment case

Regions Bank has launched disaster-recovery financial services for customers hit by Hurricane Isaias in the Florida Panhandle and South Alabama. The package includes loan assistance, payment relief, fee waivers, interest rate discounts, and mortgage disaster-relief programmes. Analysts see the move as good for the bank's brand and customer relationships, but limited in its near-term effect on revenue. Regions Financial reported a flat quarter at $1.91 billion in revenue, and fee income remains a risk. The bank also declared quarterly cash dividends on common and preferred stock. Simply Wall St's narrative projects revenue of $8.9 billion and earnings of $2.4 billion by 2029, up from $2.1 billion today. It puts fair value at $32.03 per share, 19% above the current price.
