About the Job

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of experience in IT engineering, IT operations, systems administration, endpoint engineering, or identity engineering.
  • Experience administering Okta or a comparable identity provider as the owner, including single sign-on, groups, app assignments, lifecycle workflows, and access management decisions.
  • Hands-on experience with modern mobile device management such as Workspace ONE or an equivalent, including provisioning, configuration enforcement, patching, encryption, and inventory.
  • Strong Google Workspace administration skills and substantial macOS endpoint experience.
  • Experience building or meaningfully improving operational workflows, automation, reporting, or internal controls.
  • Ability to explain technical decisions clearly, document systems, and keep stakeholders informed.
  • Ability to prioritize under ambiguity and build systems that reduce future work.
  • Willingness to stay hands-on in an individual-contributor role.

Responsibilities

  • Own identity and access engineering in Okta, including group strategy, app assignments, single sign-on configuration, lifecycle automation, and access request patterns.
  • Run endpoint engineering across a macOS-first fleet in Workspace ONE, including provisioning, configuration baselines, patching, encryption posture, inventory hygiene, and compliance reporting.
  • Administer Google Workspace and Slack at scale, including user lifecycle, groups, shared drives, permissions, roles, and governance.
  • Govern the SaaS estate, including tool ownership, access, costs, and changes when employees change teams or leave.
  • Build automation for onboarding, deprovisioning, access reporting, device compliance, and repetitive IT work.
  • Translate security, compliance, and engineering requirements into IT controls that generate audit evidence.
  • Serve as the technical escalation point for complex issues across identity, access, endpoints, and internal infrastructure, and engineer recurring problem classes out of existence.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience supporting security and compliance work, including SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI, access reviews, audit evidence, or control implementation.
  • Fluency with device security posture, including endpoint detection and response, disk encryption, patch compliance, vulnerability management, and access hygiene.
  • Scripting and automation experience with Bash, Python, Google Apps Script, Okta Workflows, or raw APIs.
  • Experience designing IT processes for a globally distributed team across time zones, including international hardware logistics.

About the Company

LiveKit

Open-source WebRTC platform with managed cloud

LiveKit provides an open-source platform for building real-time audio and video applications using a complete WebRTC stack. Developers can integrate live media with LiveKit’s APIs and SDKs, either by self-hosting the open-source software or by using LiveKit Cloud, a fully-managed cloud service with a globally distributed network. This setup handles media infrastructure at scale, allowing apps to support large user bases without managing servers themselves. The goal is to help developers add real-time communication features and scale their apps globally with flexible deployment options.
