Califia Farms introduces simple Coconut Creamer innovation after leading Coconut Milk category boom.

Califia Farms introduces simple Coconut Creamer innovation after leading Coconut Milk category boom. By Aditya October 9, 2026 3 Mins Read Califia Farms, the leading, premium, plant-based beverage brand, is doubling down on coconut as one of the biggest growth stories in plant-based. Coconut is now the fastest-growing plant-based milk segment with Coconut Milk segment dollar sales increasing 17% and Califia Farms driving 82% of category growth (MULO+Natural L52wks, End 9.6.26 Spins). Califia has a 15-year history of innovation across a variety of plant milk types, starting with almond then later expanding to oat, coconut, cashew and soymilks. Since launching Simple & Organic Coconutmilk in 2024, coconut has become Califia's highest growth plant base thanks to its creaminess and craveable taste in cooking, baking, matcha, coffee, and more. "Coconut has become an exciting growth engine for Califia because it delivers on so much of what consumers are looking for right now: creaminess, great taste, and simple, plant-based ingredients. We saw the momentum start in cafes and we offered a product that consumers can easily use across multiple at-home occasions like matcha, overnight oats, coffee, and cooking." -Suzanne Ginestro, Chief Marketing Officer at Califia Farms That next expansion includes Califia's recently launched Organic Vanilla Crème Coconut Creamer and Organic Toasted Coconut Creamer, extending the brand's Simple & Organic creamer platform to include a coconut-only base. Both are USDA Certified Organic and made with simple, plant-based ingredients, and no oils or gums. Califia also built upon its success with Organic Coconutmilk and introduced Unsweetened Coconutmilk, a versatile option at an accessible price point. Beyond the grocery aisle, Califia teamed up with Dada Eats founder and cookbook author Samah Dada, a longtime Califia user in her plant-based recipes. The partnership includes original recipe and lifestyle content featuring Califia's coconut portfolio, which culminated in an intimate Califia Farms x Samah Dada Supper Club in New York City on October 6. The invite-only gathering brought together press, tastemakers, and friends around a menu curated by Dada. Recipes and cocktails were made with Califia's coconut milk products such as Organic Coconutmilk, Unsweetened Coconutmilk, Toasted Coconut Almondmilk, and Organic Vanilla Crème Coconut Creamer. "Coconut is such a versatile ingredient and one I naturally reach for when I'm creating recipes, whether I'm looking for creaminess, flavor, or just something unexpected. I've used Califia in my own cooking for years because the creaminess and quality are really unmatched, so getting to create with the coconut portfolio and bring those recipes to life in a new way feels really natural and fun." - Samah Dada, founder of Dada Eats The partnership comes as coconut's role within plant-based continues to expand. By extending coconut from plant milk into creamers, Califia is an increasingly key part of consumers' everyday moments. Califia Farms is passionate about making the natural goodness of plants accessible and enjoyable for everyone. Based in Los Angeles, California, the company focuses on developing delicious, dairy-free alternatives crafted with purposeful, high-quality ingredients that deliver both nutrition and flavor. Its diverse portfolio includes plant-based milks, creamers, barista beverages, brewed-to-blend coffees, teas, and juices, all made from premium plant-derived ingredients. In response to growing consumer interest in clean-label and environmentally responsible products, Califia launched a successful range of organic beverages featuring simple ingredients in 2023. The company also continues to advance its sustainability efforts by reducing its environmental impact, supporting more resilient agricultural practices, and promoting circular-economy initiatives. These efforts include transitioning all its bottles to 100% recycled plastic and collaborating with almond growers to cultivate organic crops. Established in 2010, Califia Farms has grown into one of the leading plant-based beverage brands in the United States, with established operations in the United Kingdom and a presence in several international markets.
