- A bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
- Construction engineering experience or knowledge is required.
- Beginner knowledge of construction equipment and techniques, drawings and specifications, building materials, and project-applicable standards is required.
- Ability to assume responsibility and interface and communicate effectively with others is required.
- Meet daily with project crews to review the production schedule and confirm that materials, equipment, and resources are available for production to continue on schedule and within budget.
- Collect, coordinate, and analyze shop drawings, design specifications, material requirements, and project data throughout the project to ensure quality and compliance.
- Provide technical input for project work plans and scheduling, identifying production, material, equipment, or process risks that could negatively affect the budget or schedule.
- Evaluate daily production, schedule, and budget projections to track project performance accurately, and document daily activities using company-approved methods and technologies.
- Submit accurate project quantity inputs and controls using assigned project cost coding, and manage cost coding with company finance and accounting teams for employee time, materials, equipment, and subcontractor needs.
- Review and approve daily timecards for company construction crews, working with the office manager, payroll, and job construction supervisors to resolve timecard inquiries as needed.
- Review project specifications for quality assurance at the beginning of work, during project work, and after completion; initiate and manage certificates, inspections, and other construction-production documentation at the project site.
- Work with construction crews and engineering leaders to plan field layout at the project site, ensuring utility and commercial lines are marked before production begins; initiate and manage required permits.
- Assist with developing design drawings and provide technical input as needed.
- Coordinate subcontractor work methods, schedules, and crews as needed.
- At least one year of experience is preferred.
