PLDT deploys UiPath AI agents to save 30K hours annually and cut response times 80%

PLDT, the Philippines' leading digital services provider, has deployed UiPath's business orchestration and automation platform to enhance operational efficiency amid surging demand for digital connectivity. The telco implemented three AI solutions to address service bottlenecks. KAI transforms knowledge retrieval from a five-day manual process to one-to-three-second responses, saving 25,000 to 30,000 hours annually. Ellie, an internal AI assistant, reduces manual effort by 25-35% and enables up to 80% faster customer response times, saving 18,000 to 25,000 hours yearly. ERICA, launched in February 2026, automates risk management reviews, cutting evaluation time from two-to-ten days down to five minutes to one day—a 97-99% reduction in manual effort. The implementations allow PLDT teams to shift focus from repetitive tasks to higher-value work.

UiPath CEO wrote 168-page book using AI through 'adversarial prompts' and Socratic dialogue

UiPath CEO Daniel Dines has written a 168-page book titled "The Work That Remains" using Claude and ChatGPT as co-authors. The book, which explores how humans and AI will work together, grew from what Dines describes as a "Socratic dialogue" with the AI models. Dines used adversarial prompts, instructing the AI to create opposing views and challenge hypotheses. The manuscript initially ballooned to nearly 100,000 words before being edited down to around 40,000 words. The three-year writing process helped shape both the book's thesis and UiPath's company strategy simultaneously. Through the experience, Dines identified AI's key limitations: it relies heavily on training data and struggles with novel ideas. He emphasised that challenging feedback is essential to prevent AI hallucinations. Dines credits the collaboration for helping him structure ideas he lacked time to develop independently.

Synthesized launches UiPath integration to automate test data provisioning for continuous testing

Synthesized has launched an integration with UiPath Test Cloud to automate test data provisioning within testing workflows. The AI-native test data automation platform enables teams to invoke configured data workflows as part of their UiPath testing process, addressing delays caused by unavailable, consumed, or non-compliant test data. The integration allows test data preparation to become a native step inside UiPath Test Cloud rather than a separate manual process. Synthesized generates, transforms, or provisions required data whilst applying configured privacy treatments and relationship rules for selected scenarios. The integration supports end-to-end workflows from defining requirements through to test execution and workflow reuse. It is now available and was showcased at UiPath FUSION 2026 in Las Vegas, where Synthesized was the only test data vendor sponsoring the event.
