Pinterest is a visual discovery and bookmarking platform where users save ideas as pins on themed boards. People browse and search for ideas across topics like recipes, home decor, and fashion, then save or share pins to organize their interests. The product works through a feed and search results that show relevant pins, with tools for creating, organizing, and sharing boards. It earns revenue mainly from advertising—promoted pins shown in feeds and search results—and affiliate marketing, earning commissions when traffic leads to retailers. The platform differentiates itself with its visual discovery engine, focus on saving and organizing inspiration, and its advertising and affiliate ecosystem that targets users based on their interests. Pinterest’s goal is to help people discover ideas they love and turn that inspiration into action by connecting users with content creators and businesses.

Zillow partners with Pinterest to take predictive home shopper data off-site for first time

Zillow is partnering with Pinterest to extend its predictive home shopper data beyond its own platform for the first time. The collaboration enables advertisers to target consumers using more than 200 house-related signals and first-party behaviour data across 34 consumer segments, including active buyers, renters, and homeowners. The data is built from user actions on Zillow's platform, such as searching for properties or calculating mortgages. Kohler piloted the feature, achieving 82% more incremental reach and a 23.54% engagement rate. The partnership marks a shift for Zillow's ad business, Zillow Elevate, from custom onsite campaigns to scalable off-site media capabilities. Zillow plans to expand the programme to more brands and audience segments, with new products launching in September.

Pinterest faces litigations over misleading revenue claims.

Pinterest faces litigations over misleading revenue claims. Law firms sharpen knives as Pinterest lands in legal soup. It's looking like Pinterest, those crafty folks behind your favorite DIY boards, might be a tad more tangled up than a ball of yarn on a crafting spree. Kuehn Law is stirring the pot, sniffing out potential breaches of fiduciary duties against its pals at Pinterest - or should I say, against some of its officers and directors. What's the Skinny? Here's the scoop for all you traders and investors clinging onto your PINS stocks. This ain't your run-of-the-mill legal squabble. The allegations unfurl something quite juicy: Pinterest either misled or kept mum about revenue dips from advertising partners. Stuff like overstating their ability to jazz past U.S. tariffs and the macroeconomic squalls they sail through - or at least, claimed to. Funny how a bit of sugarcoating can unravel an advertising revenue forecast into corporate turmoil. If it's proven they've been overselling their resilience, the need for potentially imminent restructuring isn't just a ghost story - it's the financial boogeyman darting out of the shadows. Makes you wonder who really knew what, when they knew it, and how big the wool was that got pulled over shareholders' eyes. Imagining those conference calls gets a whole lot more interesting, eh? Investors, time to make some noise. If you're holding onto Pinterest shares and bought them before the cold February of 2025, Investors Hangout, LLC might be talking to you. It's clear as day and always has been: when the ship starts sinking, every voice matters. Get in touch with Sophia Anne Silayan - or run the risk of being left out in the financial cold. Your investment. Your voice. Your future.(TM) Kuehn Law is ready to pick up the tab for any legal costs, which tells you they're mighty confident they've got something fishy in their nets. And just so Investors Hangout, LLC is on the same page - prior results never guarantee a jackpot at the end of the legal rainbow. Looking at the bigger picture. This Pinterest case isn't just a headline-grabber; it's a great big reminder of why due diligence and a skeptical eye are your best allies in the market. Even with these legal gales blowing, PINS might still recover depending on what shakes out of the boardroom closets. Sometimes scandals like these blow over; other times they leave a stock struggling to float. But here's the kicker: expect a ride. If the lawsuit picks up steam and more skeletons fall out of Pinterest's closets, you could see stock ticks more erratic than a heart monitor during tax season. Peeking around the legal corner. Only time will tell if this situation tilts toward a full-scale financial disaster or just a slap on the wrist. No one likes being left in the dark, and when the stakes are your own hard-earned cash, poking your head up over the parapet to see which way the winds are blowing becomes ever more crucial. As this unfolds, keep your ear to the ground for updates, but don't hold your breath waiting for transparency - corporations aren't too keen on broadcasting their fumbles. Take what you hear with a hefty pinch of salt, since legal wranglings have a tendency to muddy the waters more than they'd clarify. The waiting game. Whether you're gearing up to buy, sell, or just keep an eagle eye on PINS, this saga's worth a front-row seat. With every twist and turn of this legal drama, the only certainty is uncertainty itself. Ain't that just the way it always goes in the market?

Pinterest reports revenue growth to $1.18B but swings to $46.67M loss, appoints Airbnb veteran as chief accounting officer

Pinterest reported second-quarter 2026 revenue of $1.18 billion but swung to a $46.67 million loss from prior profitability. The company issued third-quarter revenue guidance of $1.19 billion to $1.21 billion. Pinterest appointed Renee Jewell, currently Controller at Airbnb and CFO of Airbnb Payments, as Chief Accounting Officer. The hire signals a focus on financial leadership as the company navigates higher sales alongside renewed losses. The quarter highlights execution risks as cost pressures persist despite revenue growth. Investors may scrutinise financial discipline as Pinterest invests in AI, shopping tools, and international expansion. Analyst projections suggest the company needs 12.3% annual revenue growth to reach $6.2 billion by 2029. Some optimistic forecasts had previously anticipated revenue climbing towards $6.8 billion, though these estimates may shift following the quarterly loss.

Pinterest hires David Brinker as global head of content to boost monetisation

Pinterest has hired David Brinker as global head of content, reporting to chief business officer Lee Brown. The move signals Pinterest's evolving strategy to align platform content more closely with business outcomes. Brinker previously led content partnerships focused on monetisation at Character.AI and Snap Inc, and served as president of the New York Post. In his new role, he will oversee visual search, discovery, shopping experiences, creator strategy, and editorial programming. The hire is part of Pinterest's broader corporate restructuring to unify content strategy with sales and monetisation. The company has been investing in cross-platform content, launching shoppable streaming series and adding Amazon Storefront linking for creators. Brinker joins other recent C-suite appointments under CEO Bill Ready as Pinterest repositions itself as an AI-driven shopping destination targeting Gen Z users.
