Responsibilities
  • Public affairs, stakeholder engagement, fact sheets, HAB coordination; provide services and support for Program Office 01 Office of the Manager, Office of the Chief of Staff, Office of Communications, & Chief Counsel under Job Task 01.03 - Hanford Advisory Board Operations and Library Management Coordinator with Support Functions for Secretarial Support Services, Management Consulting Services, Communications Support Services, Paralegal Support Services provided across the Hanford Field Office (HFO).
  • Hanford Advisory Board Facilitator and Administrative Assistant: Coordinates HAB meetings, documentation, communication, and administrative tasks, ensuring compliance with environmental laws and effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Maintain Local Office and Library: operate an office in Richland, WA with phone, computer access, and limited office space for HAB members and the public; Open at least 4 hours daily; HAB Library: maintain a repository of HAB-related information per Federal Advisory Committee Act guidelines, subject to DOE inspection.
Desired Qualifications
  • 5–8+ years communications/public affairs; DOE experience helpful.
  • Primarily focused on assist program and project management support in daily business activities; initiatives and aligned with Program Support activities Oversight And General Support Services under Job Task Category 01 Office of the Manager, Office of the Chief of Staff, Office of Communications, & Chief Counsel Functional Area Activities.
  • Writing, facilitation, media, event planning.
  • Clarity, diplomacy, listening.
  • Develop stakeholder briefings tied to milestones.
  • Functional attributes of this role include Board ops & records coordination.
