Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree is required, although appropriate experience may substitute for education on an equivalent basis.
  • Two years of experience are required.
  • CITI training must be completed within 90 days of hire.
  • Knowledge of biology, chemistry, mathematics, documentation, and records management is required.
  • The role requires data utilization, complex problem solving, critical thinking, resource management, and writing skills.
  • The role requires the ability to occasionally lift moderate-weight materials and to stand or walk continuously.
  • The role requires the ability to detect and translate speech or other communication, with occasional ability to distinguish colors and perceive relative distances between objects.
Responsibilities
  • Recruit, screen, enroll, and obtain consent from program participants, and conduct or coordinate participant training.
  • Coordinate research protocols by arranging appointments and procedures, collaborating with other departments and institutions, and maintaining contact with study participants.
  • Collect, analyze, and disseminate research data; report program data and progress to study investigators; and work with the Principal Investigator to develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive program databases and files.
  • Identify system or procedural problems and obstacles related to research protocol implementation and communicate them to study investigators.
  • Assure compliance with relevant Institutional Review Board and other regulatory agency requirements.
  • Prepare Institutional Review Board documents and reports, and evaluate and write research protocols in collaboration with the study investigator.
  • Collaborate on developing program materials, including educational and marketing materials, websites, forms, and reports.
  • Maintain the program timeline and track deadlines for program components.
  • Coordinate program outreach activities, act as a liaison with community organizations, and organize internal and external meetings, site visits, and special events.
  • Monitor study-related budgets and participate in developing program resources through literature searches, contact with outside programs, and review of funding opportunities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
