You will be a part of highly creative and efficient multi-discipline BIM design team, tasked with designing challenging and complex projects with innovative solutions for Amazon owned Data Center facilities. You will provide support to our central engineering team through the preparation of federated BIM models and BIM data. You will influence Data Center design documents with: multi-disciplinary coordination; clash detection and resolution, constructability reviews; building code compliance; design optimization. You will produce and maintain coordinated BIM for our fleet of Data Centers.

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we're the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain - and we're looking for talented people who want to help. Key job responsibilities
Daily responsibilities will include coordinating consolidated Templates insource and trades models of our Data Centers, and utilizing Revit and Navisworks to maintain our standards. You must be able to work independently and within a team environment to accomplish assigned tasks. This includes working with internal groups as well as external suppliers and consultants, manufacturers, vendors, and contractors.
Your duties will include:
* Be self-motivated and work within the BIM Design group as well as within other teams.
* Update and modify existing models, studies and construction documents as required.
* Assist with creating, maintaining, and enforcing BIM templates and standards.
* Audit project deliverables and monitor quality.
* Lead design coordination meetings with other trades for clash detection and resolution.
* Work on concurrent projects in multiple geographical locations.
* Assist the project team with information exchange processes between internal and external customers.
* Provide coordination support for information requests during construction phases.
* Recording and reporting of key metrics to management.
* Travel to Data Center sites for engineering evaluations and surveys as required. On average: once or twice a year.

A day in the life
As a designer and VDC , you will collaborate across disciplines and teams to refine data center designs. Your work includes creating detailed models, drawings, specifications, prototypes, and updating managers and leaders of changes to the building design. You engage in design discussions, review feedback from peers and collaborators, and adjust designs to ensure our data center solutions meet the highest standards of efficiency and quality.

- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ year Experience in Design/Construction using Autodesk Revit to design and coordinate large, complex, or innovative projects
- 3+ year Experience with Navisworks
- Strong understanding of building systems and construction processes
- Experience with Autodesk Forma or ACC (Autodesk Construction Cloud)
- Experience with clash detection and resolution using BIM tools
- Experience with Dynamo scripting and BIM automation workflows
- Knowledge of data center design and MEP systems
- Familiarity with construction documentation standards
- Experience in creation of 4D scheduling and 5D cost models
- Experience developing and adapting automation tools and AI-driven solutions for AEC workflows
- Proficiency in Python scripting for process automation and data analysis
