Requirements
Experience in job-related activities, including working with youth recreation, camps, or related programs.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Must possess a valid Utah driver's license.
Knowledge of games, sports, recreation, arts and crafts, storytelling, and music.
Ability to use leadership, team-building, self-motivation, and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of correct English usage, spelling, and vocabulary.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; establish and maintain effective working relationships with participants, employees, staff, and the public; use tact and judgment in external contacts to avoid friction and obtain desired results; and present information to the public.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Must pass a drug test before hire.
Responsibilities
Organize and supervise youth programs and participants under the general supervision of the Youth Camp Site Supervisor and Youth Programs and Day Care Coordinator.
Take responsibility for the care, condition, and use of materials, equipment, and tools.
Make decisions affecting participants' activities, including responsibility for worker motivation and satisfaction.
Use a copy machine and telephone regularly, and a personal computer and city vehicle occasionally.
Desired Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
Summary:
Under the general supervision of the Youth Camp Site Supervisor and Youth Programs and Day Care Coordinator, organizes and supervises youth programs and participants.

Communicate effectively verbally and in writing; establish and maintain effective working relationships with participants, employees, staff and the public; contacts requiring tact and judgment to avoid friction and obtain desired result; outside contact with public presenting information. Regular use of a copy machine and telephone; occasional use of a personal computer, and city vehicle. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
