A bachelor's degree in environmental science, biology, sustainable development, engineering, geology, or a similar field.
A professional designation (RPBio., P.Ag., P.Eng., etc.), in-training status, or willingness to obtain a designation.
Three to five years of experience in the environmental field.
Construction worksite experience.
Skill in sampling.
Knowledge of municipal, provincial, and federal environmental regulations.
Responsibilities
Prepare, validate, and implement environmental plans with project teams, including Environmental Protection Plans, Erosion Control Plans, and Waste Management plans.
Provide advice and expertise on project-related environmental issues, including water quality, sensitive environments, and contaminated soils.
Cooperate with and assist internal and external stakeholders in meeting certification objectives and target point requirements.
Verify subcontractors' contractual obligations and the accuracy of their work related to environmental requirements.
Maintain environmental performance indicators, including non-conformities, spills, residual materials, and best practices, and complete associated documentation in Procore.
Report apparent deviations from requirements that may affect environmental and certification obligations as soon as possible, and assist with regulatory reporting as required.
Find proactive solutions to maintain environmental compliance, meet certification-process requirements and commitments, and achieve project objectives.
Work with the project team to develop construction methodologies that minimize environmental impacts.

As an Environmental Coordinator working in the Operational Support team at Pomerleau Construction, you will play a vital role in helping project teams ensure environmental and contractual compliance on our projects. Supporting our large-scale building and infrastructure projects - ranging from $1.5 million to over $1 billion – you will have the opportunity to provide advice, support and assistance to ensure legislative compliance.
What you will do

The expected salary range for this opportunity is $75,000 - $100,000. Please note that salaries may vary depending on the candidate’s experience and geographical location. Listed compensation is exclusive of bonus and in addition to our extensive employee benefits program which is listed above. Availability of certain benefits may vary based on the specific job role.
