Requirements
  • At least 2 years of related experience.
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Knowledge and experience in inventory control and warehouse operations.
  • A valid driver's license is required if deliveries are made.
  • Drivers must be at least 21 years of age and pass pre-employment and annual Motor Vehicle Record reviews if deliveries are required.
  • Drivers must obtain verification of a non-expired medical certificate as required by law within 60 days of hire and must not have had a suspended driver's license for a traffic accident or violation within the past 3 years.
  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills are required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and an enterprise resource planning system such as Solar Eclipse.
  • Ability to develop and coach a team.
  • Ability to work with customers and colleagues while meeting customer service and operational requirements.
  • Ability to perform the physical demands of the role, including walking, standing, lifting up to 50 pounds, and operating warehouse equipment.
  • Ability to work around noise, temperature extremes, electrical hazards, and potentially dangerous equipment.
Responsibilities
  • Work with the Branch Manager and branch personnel to drive profitability by using company digital tools to maximize branch performance.
  • Develop, train, and supervise associates.
  • Recognize personnel problems and take corrective action as needed.
  • Resolve daily customer service issues.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key customers.
  • Greet and assist call-in and walk-in customers with the selection and delivery of products and services.
  • Conduct or oversee inventory control procedures and warehouse housekeeping practices.
  • Implement branch security and safety standards through facility and asset inspections and corrective actions.
  • Participate in inventory control and advise the Branch Manager of problems to ensure customer demand is met.
  • Maintain the branch facility, warehouse, and office equipment.
  • Schedule branch staff to ensure daily coverage.
  • Assist the Branch Manager with monitoring branch operating expenses and implementing corrective actions.
  • Make deliveries to branches or customers as required.
  • Perform counter sales, prepare and fill orders, receive, stock, stage, and ship material, and maintain branch equipment when required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Previous sales, operations, electrical distribution, or similar business-to-business industry experience.
  • Leadership experience.
  • Certification to operate a forklift, hand truck, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment.
  • A four-year Bachelor's degree.
  • Ability to manage profit-and-loss statements.
  • Sales- and service-oriented approach, self-motivation, dependability, leadership, and customer service skills.
  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
