Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering Technology, or related field
  • 7 years' experience as a Construction Inspector II or commensurate construction inspection experience
  • Designation as CMIT (Construction Manager In-Training) per CMAA
  • Certified as a Concrete Field-Testing Technician Level 1 per ACI
  • Certified as an ODOT Pre-Qualified Construction Inspector
  • Ability to read and interpret contract documents including plans, specifications and geotechnical reports
  • Knowledgeable in math, including geometry and trigonometry
  • Excellent communication skills
Responsibilities
  • Act as leader of Project Inspection Teams
  • Inspect and record Contractor’s construction activities at the project site
  • Take measurements and maintain records of quantities and materials installed
  • Review and compile Inspection Team’s field information and produce reports
  • Respond to inquiries regarding inspection as related to the project
  • Exercise sound judgment in identifying potential problems and report any issues to immediate supervisor
  • Perform office support work, compiling records and data for proposed and completed projects
  • Assist in preconstruction services, including review of drawings for constructability reviews and preparing quantity take-offs for cost estimates
  • Delegate adequate authority to other Project Inspectors to carry out their responsibilities
  • Establish a good relationship with the Client that will enhance capability to perform repeat work
  • Direct training and development of Anser Inspectors
  • Assist in setting policies and procedures for Anser inspection standards
  • Notify Senior Management of any event that will significantly affect completion, profitability, or the Client relationship
  • Operate motor vehicle in field
