Requirements
- A Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree in engineering or science.
- Six years of directly applicable experience as a management consultant or senior manager interfacing and working with organizational executives and senior management, or senior technical or business individuals, within government or industry on significant management, technical, or business issues.
- Familiarity and relevant experience, or the ability to perform, under Hanford or other government agency procedures.
- Working-level knowledge of the Office of River Protection oversight program requirements, including its corrective action management process.
- Familiarity and relevant experience, or the ability to perform oversight of Department of Energy Office of River Protection orders and standards involving facility operations, engineering, and maintenance management of a nuclear facility.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher, and Adobe tools.
- Compliance with site-specific safety and security requirements, including badging and office protocols.
- Identification of conflicts, potential conflicts, or perceived conflicts of interest with Hanford Site Technical Oversight Specialists.
- U.S. citizenship.
- Eligibility for a Facility Access Authorization, also referred to as an Employment Authorization, from the U.S. Government’s designated Security Office.
- Ability to submit to and qualify for varying levels of background investigative requirements, up to a Top Secret or Department of Energy Q clearance.
- Ability to use a computer to communicate via email.
- Ability to complete a Financial Disclosure Statement if required.
Responsibilities
- Provide oversight of the Technical Oversight Specialist system design review program.
- Provide oversight of maintenance and work control processes.
- Support the Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant Engineering Division.
- Assist the Nuclear Services Division during the Department of Energy’s review and comment resolution of Preliminary Documented Safety Analysis and Documented Safety Analysis development and revisions.
- Coordinate system design reviews for high-level-waste systems.
- Assist the High-Level-Waste Federal Project Director in assessing alternative tank waste treatment approaches, including Direct Feed High-Level Waste configuration.
- Assist the Hanford Interface Management Team with Interface Control Documents.
- Coordinate assessment issuance and resolution with Office of River Protection engineering, regulatory, and other supporting staff.
- Participate in Engineering, Procurement and Construction and Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant high-level-waste assessment progress and Direct Feed High-Level Waste configuration activities.
- Ensure work products are thorough, accurate, appropriately documented, and compliant with established criteria.
- Submit a weekly report to the technical monitor addressing work accomplished and deliverable progress.
- Support business development and other efforts on behalf of ProSidian Consulting.
