About the job
- Possess prior gardening and general property maintenance experience, along with technical knowledge of tools and machinery.
- Demonstrate the ability to identify issues, find solutions, and complete the required scope of work.
- Be able to lift 25–50 pounds and remain on your feet for up to 8 hours a day.
- Be able and willing to work outside in all weather conditions.
- Have a keen eye for detail and a creative approach to property care.
- Be able to work with others as part of a team.
- Be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as business demands require.
- Hold a valid driver’s license and live within a manageable commuting distance of the property.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate inventory and supply levels, keep detailed records, and gather, complete, and inspect material estimates and requisitions.
- Diagnose malfunctions in building repairs, ground repairs, and equipment, and conduct periodic property inspections.
- Ensure consistent and safe use of lawnmowers, chainsaws, and other heavy-duty maintenance equipment.
- Perform HVAC, plumbing, minor electrical, carpentry, and other interior maintenance repairs.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests, including replacing lightbulbs and fixing light fixtures, repairing walls and sheetrock, changing locks, and painting.
- Conduct daily cleanup of the property exterior, including grounds and common areas.
- Perform swimming pool maintenance and cleaning, and maintain chemical logs accurately.
- Provide professional, courteous, and prompt service in guest interactions.
- Adapt to changing operational needs and perform other duties as assigned.
- Experience in maintenance for resorts or overnight-stay accommodations.
- A genuine passion for the outdoors.
