About the job

Requirements
  • A minimum of 3+ years of deep casing drilling experience in geotechnical or ground support applications.
  • Demonstrated experience with concentric casing systems such as Symmetrix, ODEX, Elemex, or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience with duplex head drilling systems.
  • Demonstrated experience with dual rotary drilling systems.
  • Demonstrated experience with percussion drill systems.
  • Demonstrated experience with temporary and permanent casing installation.
  • Demonstrated experience with tie-back and micropile casing systems.
  • Proven ability to advance casing through collapsing overburden, mixed face conditions, variable rock-to-soil transitions, high groundwater environments, and flowing sands.
  • Experience maintaining verticality, alignment, and embedment tolerances within engineered specifications.
  • A strong understanding of casing sequencing, grout control, and structural load transfer principles.
  • Ability to work outdoors in climates ranging from mountains to deserts.
  • Ability to manage typical construction-site hazards and noise levels.
  • Ability to regularly lift 75 pounds or more.
  • Willingness to travel extensively, up to 100% across the United States.
Responsibilities
  • Apply casing drilling skills across a variety of geohazard mitigation systems and projects.
  • Execute safety plans to protect people at the jobsite.
  • Coach and develop teammates to improve their effectiveness and skills.
  • Assist with equipment maintenance and jobsite organization.
  • Communicate clearly with clients and internal teams.
  • Anticipate subsurface challenges before they escalate.
  • Protect casing integrity and minimize rework.
  • Improve production efficiency without sacrificing precision.
  • Mentor junior crew members on proper casing technique.
  • Take ownership of the structural outcome of drilling work.
