Requirements
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or a related role.
  • Proficiency in data modeling, database design, and data warehousing concepts.
  • Refactoring strategy to improve maintainability, scalability, dependency management of large database script repositories.
  • Experience with data integration tools and ETL processes.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and Python.
  • Strong knowledge with cloud platforms, especially Snowflake, and related cost management. Databricks is nice-to-have.
  • Expertise in big data architectures, including data lakes, lakehouses, and machine learning architectures.
  • Proficiency in integrating business intelligence tools like PowerBI and Tableau into the overall data architecture.
  • Understanding of data governance and data QA practices.
  • Knowledge of medical claims data, including Medicare FFS, Commercial, Medicaid, and Medicare Advantage, with an understanding of data ontology and taxonomy.
  • Experience working with medical coding systems (ICD10, CPT, HCPCS, MS DRG, NPPES, NPI, etc.)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain the enterprise data architecture, ensuring it supports current and future data processing and storage needs.
  • Design and implement data integration processes to consolidate data from multiple sources into a unified and accessible data platform.
  • Create and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models that support data warehousing, data lakes, and operational databases.
  • Establish and enforce data governance policies, standards, and procedures to ensure data quality, security, and compliance.
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement data management tools and technologies to enhance data architecture and performance.
  • Work closely with data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into effective, executable data solutions.
  • Identify and resolve data performance issues, ensuring optimal performance and scalability of data systems.
  • Document data architecture, data flows, and technical specifications to provide a clear understanding of data systems and processes.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in data architecture and data management to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
