About the Team
The New Verticals Success Management team retains, grows, and improves the partnership quality of SMB merchants. We work with non-restaurant verticals including alcohol, flowers, and convenience. This is an exciting part of DoorDash at the forefront of the company’s evolution. Our team is located throughout the US, with a concentration in Phoenix, AZ.
About the Role
As a leader of our New Verticals Success Management team, you will oversee 5-10 New Verticals Success Managers, including people coaching, performance management to revenue goals, and working directly with merchants.
As New Verticals is a developing part of DoorDash, you will take on projects to support program strategy and structure. These include enablement, process, cross functional collaboration, and new initiatives.
You’ll report into our Director, New Verticals Success Management. This role is remote with occasional in-office collaboration as well as merchant visits.

- Lead - Oversee a group of Success Managers delivering customer growth, long-term relationships, and product portfolio adoption
- Drive - Ensure standards of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are met by all individuals on the team to support consistency in experience throughout the department
- Project Manage (up to 50% of time) - Serve as DRI on enablement, projects, pilots, and topics of interest. Lead with curiosity and research to strategize, build, launch, and maintain department efforts
- Build - Interview, hire, and train qualified candidates to support New Verticals’ growth

- You have 2+ years of experience leading a team
- You have 4+ years of Sales or Account Management experience
- You have excellent performance management skills
- You are adept at project management
- You enjoy fast, ambiguous environments that do not yet have comprehensive structure or clear roles and responsibilities
