What believers are saying

  • Long tenure has a visible foothold: Clopay's Pioneer Club includes over 440 employees with at least 20 years.
  • U.S. production spans multiple sites: Clopay's official website identifies four manufacturing facilities.
  • Troy advertised wage progression in May 2026: production associates had listed raises up to $26.61 after 24 months.

What critics are saying

  • Retail relationships carry concentration risk: Clopay warns losing Home Depot or Menards would materially harm its business.
  • Orders depend on renovation spending: most Clopay sales come from home remodeling and renovation projects.
  • Troy's third-shift ad specified overnight work in May 2026: Sunday-Thursday hours ran from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m.

What makes Clopay unique

  • Ceiling space stays clear: Clopay's VertiStack Avante stacks door sections above the opening without overhead tracks.
  • Storm protection is built in: Clopay's WindCode doors incorporate reinforcement rather than requiring added bracing before storms.
  • Insulation bonds to the door: Clopay injects expanding Intellicore polyurethane foam between steel layers.
