Applied Materials’ R&D Department is searching for anintern to join our team for Summer2025!.The R&D Group develops new products and systems associated with Ion Implanters, Directional Etch, Plasma Doping, Directional Deposition and USJ Material Modifications. The position will entail the following:

Build, Assemble and Operate Test Stands used for Concept & Feasibility Studies.

Develop test stand data analysis software to gain understanding of key system performance metrics.

Learn how to operate, prepare, and analyze wafer or coupon data from lab metrology tools.

Learn and develop data acquisition and display capabilities with LabView or Matlab.

Execute tests, collect data and analyze data with software tools.

Intern must collaborate and work effectively with systems engineers and scientists.

Requirements

Student must be pursuing a Bachelor’sdegree program in Computer Science or Physics

Student must be in good academic standing at their university, with a GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale

Interest in semiconductor process equipment, applications, and data analysis.

Able to collaborate with a cross-functional multi-disciplined R&D DevelopmentTeam.

Compensation

$29 - $34 per hour

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on a number of factors including location and education level and will vary depending on confirmed job-related knowledge, skills, and experience
