Requirements
  • 3+ years of HR experience in a generalist role, preferably in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Proficient in using HR systems (HRIS, ATS), and Microsoft Office. Experience with Rippling or other advanced HR tools is a plus.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously, prioritize effectively, and multitask in a fast-moving environment.
  • A collaborative, team-oriented mindset with a passion for building positive work environments.
Responsibilities
  • Act as a key point of contact for employees and managers regarding HR matters, supporting positive relationships and helping resolve workplace issues.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and processes that align with Assembled’s overall business strategy.
  • Oversee new hire onboarding, ensuring a seamless transition into Assembled. Manage employee exits, conducting exit interviews, and ensuring a positive offboarding experience.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Manage employment records and stay current on legal updates.
  • Assist in the administration of performance review cycles and provide guidance to managers on coaching and feedback.
  • Support the administration of company benefits, including health plans, 401k, and leave programs.
  • Maintain and optimize our HRIS and other HR-related systems to ensure efficiency and accuracy in HR operations.
  • Partner with the recruiting team to provide a smooth candidate-to-employee transition, and occasionally assist with interview processes and candidate sourcing.
  • Collaborate on employee engagement initiatives to support a vibrant, inclusive, and high-performance workplace culture.
