Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree or vocational training in automotive technology preferred
- Previous experience as an Automotive Service Advisor or related customer service role preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with customers
- Knowledge of automotive service and repair procedures, including basic technical terminology and vehicle systems
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in computer software applications, including service scheduling systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Responsibilities
- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring a positive service experience from start to finish
- Consult with customers to understand their vehicle service needs and concerns, providing accurate and timely recommendations for maintenance and repairs
- Schedule service appointments and coordinate with the service department to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of work
- Conduct vehicle walk-arounds and inspections to identify service requirements and communicate findings to customers
- Provide accurate estimates for service costs and timelines, ensuring transparency and clarity in all communications
- Coordinate with technicians to prioritize work orders, track progress, and update customers on repair status
- Educate customers on recommended maintenance services, warranty coverage, and dealership service offerings
- Process service orders, invoices, and payments accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with dealership policies and procedures
- Follow up with customers after service visits to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns or additional service needs
