- Applicants must provide three letters of recommendation from individuals who can speak to both their clinical skills and potential as an independent investigator.
Responsibilities
- Refine skills in pre-surgical evaluations using intracranial electrodes in patients implanted with depth electrodes and subdural grids.
- Involve in mapping eloquent cortex with electrical stimulation of depth electrodes and subdural grids.
- Participate in reading electroencephalograms at University of Miami Hospital, the PAC, Jackson Memorial Hospital, and Jackson South.
- Cover the epilepsy-monitoring unit call schedule when first-year fellows are unavailable.
- Provide outpatient clinic care, including a biweekly satellite clinic at Boca Raton.
- Participate in a research project developed with the assistance of an epilepsy faculty member and submit at least one abstract to a national or international meeting.
- Teach medical students, neurology residents, and junior fellows.
Desired Qualifications
- A previous fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology is preferred.
