A Drug Enforcement Administration license is required or must be obtained.
The clinician must be comfortable with and interested in performing peripheral joint injections in the knees, shoulders, and hips.
The clinician must be able to use electronic health record charting.
The clinician must be able to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
Round at one to three skilled nursing facilities or similar rehabilitation centers, one to three days per week at each location.
Deliver specialized physiatry care to patients experiencing difficulty participating in therapy due to pain or functional limitations.
Perform focused assessments and develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with facility primary care teams to optimize therapy participation and functional recovery.
Provide targeted interventions such as joint injections, Botox treatments, dry needling, and medication management based on patient-specific needs.
Serve as the sole on-site physiatrist, practicing autonomously with clinical-team consultation available as needed.
Coordinate care and refer patients to other specialties or services for issues beyond the scope of physiatry.
Desired Qualifications
Nursing home and/or physiatry experience is a plus but is not required.
This role requires relocation to Redding, CA to be onsite and Skilled Nursing Facilities in the area. Generous relocation packages offered.

We’re Hiring: We are seeking a passionate, motivated provider to join us full-time and independently offer care and consultations at our contracted facilities.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities As a physiatrist, you will round at 1–3 Skilled Nursing Facilities or similar rehabilitation centers, 1–3 days per week at each location. Your primary focus will be delivering specialized physiatry care to 25+ patients per day who are experiencing difficulty participating in therapy due to pain or functional limitations.
Key responsibilities include:
Performing focused assessments and developing individualized treatment plans in collaboration with facility primary care teams to optimize therapy participation and functional recovery.
Providing targeted interventions such as joint injections, Botox treatments, dry needling, and medication management based on patient-specific needs.
Serving as the sole physiatrist on-site, operating with a high level of autonomy while supported by a collaborative clinical team for consultation as needed.
Coordinating care and referring to other specialties or services for issues beyond the scope of physiatry.
This role is best suited for a self-motivated and confident clinician who thrives in independent practice environments and is passionate about improving rehabilitation outcomes.
Qualifications:
Current, unrestricted PA or NP license.
DEA licensed or willing to obtain DEA licensure.
Nursing home and/or physiatry experience is a plus, but not required.
Comfort and interest in performing peripheral joint injections (knees, shoulders, hips).
A genuine passion for providing professional, personalized care in an autonomous environment.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
Familiarity with EHR charting
